The truth about mythic raiding

LIQUID used the Liquid WA pack on Sprocketmonger. You don’t even have an argument.

No WA is going to stop someone from completely terrorizing your group because they decided to go to the wrong side. There’s a reason why Sprocket’s generally considered to be the 2nd hardest boss in the raid nowadays.

So you also used the liquid weak aura pack, correct?

Yes, because literally everyone who killed that boss used that WA. What’s your argument?

i wonder what it would be like without weak auras

Tell me you haven’t done M Sprocketmonger without telling me you’ve done M Sprocketmonger.

what about the weak auras?

Sprocket would take most guilds either twice the pulls (easily) or require a 21st raider lol

Let’s face it. Nothing in the game requires actual skill. At most all it requires is an understanding of how to react to things, appropriate gear, and a calculator (raidbots). Other than that, it’s just following a routine

Yes I would agree.

Yeah that is probably the absolute most important part of raiding

A WA can tell you how to handle something, but you’ve still gotta handle it.

Judging by the fact that most guilds struggled immensely on Sprocketmonger, handling it wasn’t that easy.

also true of, uh, just about everything else people do, if you want to distill it down that much.

Lets face it. People who dont do anything hard in the game shouldnt comment about skill in the game.

Pretty sure things like chess, most sports, and things like street fighter takes more skill than “Ok guys next mechanic is X, stack up and get ready to do Y”

That’s not a great argument though, especially when trying to compare anything in the real world to a video game. I’m pretty sure designing and engineering a skyscraper takes more skill than playing a video game but no sane person is going to try and compare the two lol.

The introduction of 4 different raid difficulty formats really killed the joy of raiding for me. Used to love it so much but between M+ and four different raid difficulties going on, it just became way too much to follow and be bothered with.

That’s why I included Street Fighter on the list. You ever seen those guys play at a high level? Hot damn…

Video games can be skillful, absolutely. I just don’t think something that can be boiled down to a mostly scripted experience is that
