Tanks, probably the most skill intensive and have to know every aspect of the fight. Required to utilize movement and space. Other than that you soak, taunt swap.
Healers, have become a dps now. 99% of the important heal checks require you to execute some sort of healing street fighter 2 combo. Random damage is few and far between and handled by smart healing. You want to mythic raid go to the website that tells you when to use your cooldowns and put that into a raid note/ weak aura. Ramp combos can be tricky to pull off especially during movement, but that’s true in heroic too
Dps, can you do your rotation? Can you read a weak aura, can you update to the right version of the weak aura? Congrats you’re CE. You have to make 5 characters though so you can play the most overtuned one or the missing raid buff.
Heroic aotc guilds that are raw dawging these raids without the plethora of cheats are better wow players
Before weak auras existed, all raiding mechanics were so easy that it required zero skill.
As raiding mechanics got more challenging, the players created weak auras to do the mechanics for them.
Are raiding mechanics challenging now? Maybe but weak auras trivialize everything that could be possibly classified as challenging, so raiding is probably the easiest activity in wow.
Weak auras don’t do mechanics for you. They can help you track things, let you co-ordinate better but they’re not going to play the game for you and can actually make it harder if you get WAs that either conflict or which provide unclear information.
You would know this if you actually played the game.
Das not me, for sure. I know its hard lol, I certainly wouldnt be able to do it.
Some people just want to insult others about using addons. I only do low Mythics and dont use ones like DBM or WA. I do use TMW though. But i wouldnt begrudge those that do.
Arent they both the same thing? Only WA can track far more than TMW, like world events and such.
Barring the usual QoL things like auto-sell and repair, no addon can ‘do mechanics’ for you. All they do is provide information. It is still up to the player to make use of that information.
