Most if not virtually all paid character boosts (since you get a free one when you buy the expansion) are for alts, because people want to skip content they have already gone through.
You obviously don’t see anything beyond your ignorant values, and no equations will validate your perspective of wasting inordinate amounts of time - work - that would be of a value anywhere near what someone is able to accomplish - work - at even minimum wages in reality.
You say “lazy” but, and quite truly, you actually lack insight.
Ding ding ding. No clue why people farm for gold. I can make enough money to buy a token in 30 mins of rl work.
Again, tell me where the frogs are required to play the game? What can they do that a mount that’s maybe a few silver can’t, or one you can farm for a drop like everyone else?
I’m a mount collector. I put in the work to get my mounts. I also know that some require more work than others. It’s not that hard to figure out.
I don’t see the issue with the boosts myself, the one issue I do see is the ability for people to apply it before having a max character in the content. I wish they put that requirement on there before the boost could be used, but… that ship has unfortunately sailed.
My only really concern on this front was the leveling overhaul from pre-patch. I don’t find this game as ridiculous as say, Destiny, Black Ops or that… thing coming out that’s masquerading as a Diablo game.
Your being a mount collector has nothing to do with the argument “blah blah, people are lazy”. People working in reality have the vision to contribute to society (work) and get paid, and then spend it on tokens for gold. You, on the other hand, ineffectively waste time farming (working) in-game, a literal sweatshop that barely pays a thing relatively to any rl form of employment in the Western hemisphere.
You know, unless you’re a sheep farming gold in-game. Baaah?

The mudslinging in this thread is laughable, honestly.
I always viewed the stopping of gold sellers as the excuse, and the $$ Blizzard gets as the real motive.
That is why Blizzard’s Loot boxes are mostly ideal when it comes to loot boxes since they do not really provide any kind of gain and it mostly all cosmetic. OW’s and Heroes Loot Boxes are mostly cosmetic with a chance of getting xp boost, but getting exp boost does not change how they play or give them any kind of extra gain against someone else.

Technology tends to get cheaper over time, not more expensive. The cost for the xpacks have increased and the $15/month is on top of that.
Get going doing those Hook Point farming, one hour a day gets your a hefty pocket of gold.
Next up: We’re going to complain about not having mythic mounts handed to us as well.
