The true end of automated multiboxing is upon us

It wasn’t really an issue until they changed how looting and nodes worked

Then they should have updated their policy in multiboxing

I don’t think that’s why they did it.

Higher mat prices = more token sales.

Lot of people are probably turning back to “black market” sites for gold though, blizzards price per gold is ridiculous, you can get almost half a mil for 20 bucks if you know where to look

Personally I just steal my wife’s gold :stuck_out_tongue:

I love it when people who are as lazy or even lazier than everybody else pretend they are industrious and dedicated. Sure. Enjoy gathering all your own mats now that you handed over AH control to those tycoons you blamed on multiboxing.

Having to roll gatherers in order to have mats = /time played. Are you Ion?

when they bring other professions in line with alchemy/herbalism, you’d have an argument.

The earning potential of literally every other profession is miniscule in comparison. JC? People have to first farm sockets. then they buy a gem for 30 gold. once. and they’re set.

alchemy? raiders are popping 400 gold pots every 5 minutes.

the disparity is ridiculous

Here we go. Gathering is now +time played metrics lmao

Dude it’s a classic RPG profession lmao.

Well only multiboxing that mirrors key commands to all clients. It is still entirely possible to run more than one version of WoW and manually send commands to each client, you just can’t automate it.

Pretty much one of wows biggest failures currently is the fact that we don’t have any trades or professions worth a damn and gold doesn’t mean anything

If gold actually means something it creates something to always do

People actually don’t mind making money in MMOs if the currency actually does so something

I have never had difficulty gathering my own mats in all the years I have played. If you used “oh those multiboxers dey stealing my herbs, nobody else can gather so why not sit on my butt” as an excuse, it sounds like you haven’t been out in literally years.

Here’s hoping they nerf the Druid mount next where the passenger gets dismounted if they gather a resource. Druid gathering can stay as is.

I didnt even mention the difficulty in getting them, but yes nazjatar was horrible. With the prices going up (as you claim) normal people can now sell the herbs they get for more gold.

this is a change that makes sense.

but really, botting took OFF when they changed the way node tapping works. if they want to stop/curtail it, they’d go back to it being one tap and done.

It is what it is. This is unfortunate. I am down to 5 active accounts this expansion, plus this one on the forum, which is half of what I was using before.

I suppose rules are rules so I’m going to have to end 2 or 3 more accounts and only keep a few running.

That’s fine though, boxing hasn’t been incredibly fun for a while and truth be told I have enough gold to last a few lifetimes anyway.

Is
this
new?

This doesn’t stop multi-boxing, and there’s nothing wrong with multi-boxing. It stops mirroring which has always been against TOS?

New news
the sky is blue. Shall we rejoice since it’s been awhile since we’ve thought about that fact?

How much gold?

I don’t care who has control of the AH
I rarely use it. I have every profession covered with my alts including a Druid for gathering. Multiboxing should have been banned a long time ago.

Only since nov last year, and now it’s covering hardware as well. Though I don’t know how they would prove hardware.

I kind of imagine folks using those Grabber Tools off the druids back lol

This might help them clear away bots expediently
if there’s an army of moonkins all farming in the same area without breaks they’re pretty obviously bots now it’s impractical to control more than ~3 accounts at a time. Less investigation necessary to avoid accidentally stepping on multiboxer toes.
