I honestly think this issue stems from many tasks, especially some high value ones, being completed far, far too easily for a monthly system. I know it’s not meant to be especially difficult, or actually take a full month of dedicated play to cap each month, but it’s just too easy to get points right now. It lacks effort for the payoff, and feels a little unsatisfying in that regard.
I think it was the second month I had something like 200 points the moment I logged in, and then proceeded to earn 400-500 points in a single evening without going out of my way to do so, or knowing I was about to earn them. The tasks felt kinda meaningless at that point. And what I would consider more fun tasks that have to do with holidays never get much of a chance if they don’t occur within the first week of the month.
i don’t do any of those things either.
i already get credit for a bunch of stuff from completed quest credit.
do a few dailies, check the log and see which additional stuff awards points.
there are a bunch of things which don’t require killing anything… this month had /bounce at critters… and climbing wq, fishing, collecting eggs, dragon riding races etc
I guess it’s a “me” problem then. I despise dragon racing. Won’t do them. And, faming for stuff is the pits. Climbing WQ’s are okay, thought. And fishing??? Nah… I don’t think I’ve even done any. In fact, I haven’t really worked on any of my profs.
I’m just story-driven. I love leveling character. Once they hit max level, and the campaign is done, I tend to park them and move on. If something doesn’t advance the story, I’m usually not interested.
there was a heap of stuff this month related to Noblegarden
today you can do the “kill 10 city invaders” task.
if you need some super easy stuff…
the “serene dreams spa” storyline
use the dragon isles teleportation network
get hit by tornadoes
but yes… if you don’t want to do dragonriding, and you don’t want to do wq, and you don’t want to do professions, and you don’t want to do pvp, and you don’t want to go kill a few old dungeon/raid bosses, and you don’t want to do a few quests, and you don’t want to engage in world events… i honestly have to ask, exactly what is it that you spend your time doing in game?
…but you’ve done none of the optional storylines… which have better stories than the main campaign
Actually, I’m relatively ignorant. I have no idea what these are are where to pick them up. I don’t frequent external websites to learn stuff. I think that’s lazy on Blizzard’s part to rely on them to get word out about things. Anyway…
kill invaders is an event in various old cities.
nothing to pick up, just go to the city, and /salute a guard, and start killing invaders
there’s no reason not to.
blizzard already announce almost everything… the game is about learning, they’ve never really given information about things which players can learn by just playing the game.
serene dreams questline starts in valdrakken from the spa promoter
if you’ve already handed that in and forgotten where the spa is, the rest of the chain is here:
I did a ton of Timewalking dungeons and didn’t get ANY credit towards the 50 dungeon bosses killed. I had to farm Dragonlands Heroics to get that one. Old raids seem to work fine, though.
Either add twice as many items and twice as much tender per month, or make the trading post and tasks reset twice a month. Waiting one month for a handful of bad items makes it take longer to get items you actually want, and just feels bad.
Apparently not Nobully…I mean they could of had computer troubles but my understanding they just didn’t feel like logging in…I mean come on we are just heading into the 4th month of Post and so far the stuff given away has been quite nice and I have gotten a few things I really like esp the battle pets…first month I didn’t get mount cause I had it already…the jester outfits is cute…I put it on my Gnome banker alt…
