I mean, Bruenor Battlehammer (Forgotten Realms, D&D) wears a horned helmet where one of the horns is broken in half. And he doesn’t replace it either. It’s that whole idea of “I am my scars”, and your gear is a part of that. Unless it is actually a hinderance, like a shield that is cracked instead of scratched, a scratched shield will bring in the chicks.

To be fair, there’s a fun concept to the scarlet crusade. 
…although the dreadlords, joesph being insane, and whitemane as a horseman breaks the dream.

Things like this always make me wish graphics mods were allowed.
Many scarlet defenders died using that shield.
The colors are heavily washed out. Just go after an old school Scarlet transmog. Your armor will be comprised of 4 polygons, but at least the colors will pop.

I have all the original SC items from when I collected them all back in BC.
Blame the Armory for not registering the new cloak.

What else could they add in? Scarlet Footman Outfit, More clothing, and etc?
More heavier crusader plate that isn’t class locked.
I would not mind if the shield had two variants. One that has seen war, and one that looks more freshly made so to speak.
