Blizzard is creating their own DPS meter baked right into the code of WoW. This will enable elitist snobs to snub people from their groups for exclusionary reasons (low dps is not a reason not to play with someone). Blizzard should be banning DPS meters like FF14, not incentivizing people to use them!

If those people are snobs, then you don’t want to play with them anyway.
Meters help people understand their class. It’s a tool to help you improve that should have been part of the base UI no later than Wrath of the Lich King.

Thats not going to stop it, people will find another way, its more likely that blizzard is doing all of this to have WoW on consoles so rather than go through all the hassle its easier just remove other party addons & make your own its not just these few addons its going to be all of them, im gonna miss handy notes.
It absolutely is not. Many reasons why a dps is low. New player, doesn’t know their rotation yet etc.
And unless they are running a Mythic raid boss or some mythic keys with a timer, there is no reason to be not accepting someone. People can grow up a little and have some patient.
elitists are already using Details…so nothing will change.

Idk I have a addon that I just right click a players portrait after a m+ run and have a slider from 0-10.
Don’t que for mythic if you don’t know your rotation.
It’s not about “growing up” don’t do content your not prepared or ready for
No one’s being kicked from normal or heroic dungeons for low dps. Unless your an actual bot.

Who’s looking at meters in content like leveling Dungeons or Heroics?
People just want to get that ez crap done and since they’re impossible to fail it’s just a race to follow the tank until the end.

Ok, I run with people who are learning their classes all the time. How do you expect them to be able to improve if they don’t have any kind of objective feedback for how they’re performing and comparative measures of how they should be performing?

I got kicked out of a heroic dungeon once and it wasn’t even the dps meters I just died and waited for a rez.
Low dps not being a reason to play with someone depends on the context what content you’re talking about… Even though I do pretty low m+ keys, why would I want to run with someone who doesn’t know the class they are playing? Low dps could mean the difference between a pass and a fail at any level. Moreso, why do other people have to carry you? Why are you so entitled to other people’s time and effort?
tbf that people use meters is a badly kept secret
But at least it’s not baked in at the dev level.
Most people, like 95% of players, probably never come to the forum to begin with.
The most toxic people are usually the most vocal about toxicity itself, imho.
Those that just play and keep to themselves, never have anything to worry about lol. Toxicity slides right off them like they are repellant to it.
And they just move on, as they should.

Honestly the most toxicity I’ve seen from WoW is via the forums or twitter. Then again, I don’t raid anymore, so I dunno what’s going on there. But back then it’s a matter of choosing likeminded people. If you don’t want to deal with the high performers then find casual ppl
