I don’t really understand the logic with blizzard. Majority people didn’t enjoy torghast, saw it as nothing but a time sink…. So how does adding a “talent tree” to it make it any better? It’s still a time sink.
I can understand if you need to do it like once or twice to get your leggo, but to farm it every week for … 4 weeks, then to continue to farm some more so you can use these soul cinders to add a socket to your gear…
Really? Nothing here is meaningful, it’s just to “try” and keep you entertained but you’re kinda failing.
If I want a rogue like game, I’d go play a rogue like game. Make sense? I play a mmo, for the mmo. People don’t go to McDonald’s when they need their cars fix, figure out what you’re trying to do, and stop re-inventing wheels.
At the very least I would have liked it if they had made the progress per account. I don’t mind doing a little bit of Torghast, 2 runs per week. But with this, you have to run it more than that to keep up with the cap.
True, sometimes when you screw it, you just admit that you screwed up and move forward. Instead we’re here stuck with “keep trying, it will be fun after 1000 runs”
Until you don’t… I’ve been there when the raid released. During my first run I did of torghast that week I realized that I didn’t want to run that place for the next 8-10 months because of the legendary… after that I spoke to my GM and quit my raid team and put my retail play on indefinite “hiatus”.
Thats because it was a half assed system, same as covenants, legendaries, shards of domination, azerite, azerite neck, corruption, warfronts, island expeditions, …pretty much everything that came with bfa and shadowlands
The talent tree is fine but the way they award points is no fun. There is no incentive to push your skills because if you die in a higher level, you may end up with no knowledge points for the week. This encourages everyone to run in easy mode for points and wait until they over-gear it.
Finished upgrading my leggo and won’t ever set foot in TG again. We pretty much destroy the place in the current raid so it shouldn’t exist in the next patch.
I like torghast quite a bit. I wish torghast was daily and korthia was weekly. Doing a quick torghast run feels organic and fresh, with its roguelike nature making it feel very repeatable. Doing literally the exact same 5 quests (or minor variations on them, like collect 10 livers from the devourers instead of shardhides) every single day is mind numbing and awful.
I like the talent tree. I like the talent tree for this type of content. I certainly like getting a new strong power and see/feel how it changes my runs. But the change to torghast to need to full clear it outweighs the benefits of the tree. And honestly if I didn’t have to do torghast I wouldn’t tree or not.
So can anyone actually tell me what Torghast GETS ME? Is there some reason to run it… other than the “fun” they say it should be? Does it better my gear? Help with raiding? Put money in my pocket?
