The Titans Lied

I have a theory that the old gods were 1 god that is azeroth itself and we were children of the old gods that temporarily were changed into stone and metal by the titans and the old gods are not truly at war with the void, its a lie they told to get us to fight off azeroth’s defenses for them.

Remember, kids, don’t do drugs.

I swear the whole “Let’s pass off the Titans as the true villains” was the dumbest thing Blizzard has done… well ok top five… Alright top ten at least.

When did Blizzard make them the true villains (not counting Sargeras)?

I don’t think they’ve outright stated it but they’ve been feeding bread chumps at the possibility. Though I will laugh my fool head off if it all turned out to be Old god/Void lord propaganda.

Citizens of dalaran! raise your eyes to the sky and observe.

they were going to reformat us like a drive and install a new OS lol.

…did you read the archive quests?

Azeroth granted the Earthen free will and (presumably) asked them to aid her in protecting herself from the Titans - who she likely knows wants Azeroth’s power for themselves. The titans deactivated these earthens and re-configured them because they assumed they were malfunctioning.

However, once the threat of the titans was gone (at least from what she could sense), she likely went into a hibernation of sorts, until Sargeras stabbed her and made her aware of the void creeping inside of her closer to her soul.

So she woke up Magni to aid against them, and presumably summoned the Arathi into Hallowfall, to help defend against the Nerubians.

War Within has taught us that, at least from Azeroth’s PoV, both the titans and the old gods are evil and she considers both of them an equal threat to herself.

We don’t talk about the old lore when the Emerald Dream was failed blue prints of Azeroth or the Titans would wipe a planet clean if it ever deviated. Can’t get mad at new lore if it was in the old as well.
