So I thought we would be flying around slaying these bosses on a bunch of alts and blasting through this event to log onto our other toons to do it again in quick succession. I hate that its just a bunch of people waiting at different spawn locations for a mob to spawn and then we have to go wait again at the next location. 3 bosses an hour so it takes you 6 hours and 40 mins to do all the content on one character a day. How could you possibly think that was fun? Or realistic for someone who leveled a bunch of alts to think about being able to gear them up before Shadowlands? This should be on a 5 min timer and we should be running around Icecrown trying to stop the scourge at every turn but it feels like a big wait. Who tested this and thought it would be fun for anyone?
Remember, they have to pad the numbers for the investors. The longer you’re logged in, the better the “time played” numbers are.
Yup clearly designed to keep you logged in.
I logged out! Couldn’t really care less about this dumb event
Yeah, the boss spawn timers seem to be too long. Just kind of waiting around for them to spawn. On War Mode, sometimes you show-up and Moon Guard already has an army there. Which, is fun! Could have been much more fun with shorter timers.
Is this realistic?
yea I thought the zombie threat would be somehow more scary.
This doesn’t seem scary or like a threatening presence at all.
a few zombies trickle in and they all die in like three globals with a million players all around.
I made a topic about this and people were lambasting me for being entitled for wanting everything on the first day. Most of my play time is on the weekends and these timers feels very hostile. Respawn should be 5 or 10 minutes.
Well, they were wrong, this has nothing to do with “wanting everything on day one”, it’s timers that cause people to just stand around doing NOTHING instead of PLAYING THE GAME. So, you were right.
Paying to wait is the worst form of content. Don’t know why people defend that practice.
I agree that prepatch is not very exciting. But this isn’t the only content that awards that ilvl gear. Just pick 1 of the many other methods if preferred. PvP, PvE.
The timers feel hostile to you? You poor soul it must be terrible for you.
I don’t care about the gear ilvl it means nothing I just want to collect the mog even if it is same appearance as mog in ICC and Naxx. Just want to collect it to make it feel like I did the event 100%.
Again, they don’t care about content, they only care that people are logged in. That means subs. Subs means money. Money means… great, now I’m starting to sound like Yoda.
You remember that when you’re sitting around for a half hour with 20 other people waiting to tag something because a glitch won’t allow for open tagging and the respawn time is 15 minutes.
Blizzard is just trying to artificially inflate your time played metric, I blame Ion personally for turning a beloved franchise into a stopwatch
literally just use the fing group finder with crz and sharding its a non issue…
You know what? If they didn’t make such long timers, we wouldn’t HAVE TO USE THE GROUP FINDER. I’m sick of every answer being “use the group finder”. How about we just have the content done in a way that we can just play the game?
When the boss popped everyone was flying as fast as they could to get to it. Smacks mount to go faster. Died just as we got there.
grouping up and helping others in an MMO your right what was i thinking…
People shouldn’t have to hop around different shards to do content that should be readily available, that just poor design.
