The time-gate on rep makes me shake

I have all this time on the weekends to play and only can use 1 hour of it on reputation.

Like how can you gate things so hard … You gotta give us more freedom with reputation then this… we play more than 1 hour on weekends!

It makes you shake? Sounds like you need to take a break. As far as “time gating” oh yea, its definately not like in the past where you only had a handful of dailies to do then had to wait till next reset. Oh wait, it’s exactly like that.

You can but i only got 6 from a heroic and was going to spam them for rep but idt its worth it ( i think the coins cost 100 )

With the guaranteed doubloon it got a little better. Just pointing out you have another option for rep grinding :slight_smile:

You mean mop? Because before mop you could grind rep as much as you wanted.

As much as you wanted…but it was still really slow and took almost as long as a committed person in BFA

I did it for 30 hours. Average doubloons from bags was 4. Got 2 7th legion rep tokens and zero of any others. In fact I think there is a cooldown on drops because I got a bunch the first day then the next when I ran them with my nephew I got zero drops. He was getting a lot like I did the day before but I literally got zero.

I prefer dailies to emissaries, but anything is better than mindless infinite mob grinds.

Emperor rep on Timeless Isle can diaf.

I only got exalted due to timewalking rep buys.

How about the Argent Tournament stuff in WotLK? I didn’t play endgame then but pretty sure that wasn’t spammable right?

Time Gating is NOT a new concept to WoW, people have just become more aware of it.

I agree with you, little one.
I’m the type of person that would “go hard” at something and be done with it.
I’d rather set 10-12 hrs aside on one weekend, than 1 hr every day for 10-12 days.

MC in vanilla. Could only get rep from bosses while raiding after a point. Same with the Scales of the Sand rep for AQ. Not only were they time gates, but you had to do it in a raid.

Isn’t that also how reps worked for BC? I remember several reps that you could grind in dungeons, but that the rep would stop at Honored or something like that.

Well, you buy rep using dubloons, but that is extremely time consuming and boring.
