The Throne of Power, a relic of the First Ones?

So we know that one of the new mysteries in the Warcraft universe is the First Ones. We also know that they’ve left behind relics such as the waystone in the Maw that connects us to Oribos. And in thinking about them, a recent video from Bellular reminded of me of this quote from Queen Azshara: “I tire of intermediaries and heralds. The true throne of power beckons, and I intend to claim it.”

Now I can’t help but wonder if this true throne of power is another relic of the First Ones and what Azshara could gain by claiming it.

it seems like there are multiple people vying for this throne of power.

Maybe she also intends to claim the Throne of Metaphors.

I don’t think there’s a literal Throne of Power, that sitting on gives you magic abilities. I think she just means she’s tired of working for more powerful beings, and is ready to now seize power outright for herself.

I think there may be a literal throne somewhere. There are layers to creation being revealed. There are also primal cosmic forces with sentience, and their own realms, as well as hosts of minions. With that in mind, there may be an actual Throne that some how binds and controls much of what we understand, and things we don’t, as far as the Warcraft Universe.

Azshara worked with Sargeras. And when that didn’t end well, she worked with Nzoth. She may have learned about the Void Lords and their secrets as she served Nzoth. She may have learned about some Throne somewhere on some planet in some plane of existence.

It sounds like it could be a Patch, or even an expansion, already. And a place for Boss fights. Which makes it sound like a place to build up for video game lore.

I’m pretty sure it’s implied that she wants to claim the Black Empire/Void Empire.

The “throne of power” sounds a lot more metaphorical than physical. I doubt it’s a real relic.

I’m not sure of the throne of power is either a metaphor or a literal object, but either way, I think Azshara’s words meant that instead of bargaining with higher beings, she now seeks to become a god herself (either small “g” god or big “G” God).

She wasn’t referring to a literal throne, she was being figurative that Sageras would take her as his bride and that she’d be rulling the universe beside him.
