The threat Zovaal is talking about are the void lords and "cosmos divided" is light vs void war

It’s been a long time coming and they are still “hyping” the void lords coming, supposedly they are so overpowered they cannot exist in our reality for more then a mere few seconds, hence why they created and sent the old gods to randomly infect planets and ours got as many as it did.

Sargeras saw the capability of what they were able to do first hand and tried to kill Azeroth’s world souls to prevent the void lords from corrupting her and making a void titan. The jailer tried to “dominate” all realities to prevent the void lords from coming and killing us, lich king as well - the undead cannot be affected by mad whispers the old gods/void lords speak.

But the fact that they are being presented this way, is sad. It’s just gonna be another “oh big bad void lords coming” and then they come…and we kill them like any other enemy in M+ or raid bosses and they were no stronger then anything that came before.

Are you certain it’s the Void Lords being hyped and not the True Void?

N’Zoth visibly stated the Light struck a bargain with the enemy of all and Il’gynoth made insinuations that Darkness is being brought by the Light.

Furthermore Xal’atath and Chronicle make it clear that the true Void hasn’t made any appearances in WoW.

Finally both Firim and the Everliving Statuette claim there is a 7th Cosmic Force which is separate from the other 6 and embodies conclusion: Oblivion.

The Shadow fears the Darkness of the True Void.

The True Void is the threat not the Void Lords who are a false Void that is infact the Shadow of Twilight.

It’s possible. The conflict between Light and Void has existed longer than even the existence of other forces.

But… the Void lore does state:

The void lords and their servants have seemingly been locked in a perpetual power struggle with the other five cosmic powers of reality for at least thousands of years.

So who knows. It could be the smaller battle between all forces.

I don’t think so void lords, they are smarter than that .There is a real threat by devours that don’t think about what they consume which is far more dangerous .

Anduin becomes a new First One and saves the universe.

In away that myth could fit but how would a mortal become immortal?

I expect void lords will be more like over glorified grape juice. I’m sorry, things that cannot even manifest into the physical plane cannot scare me. It’s very obvious how they’d be defeated, just shove them back into the shadow realm lol.

Wrong. The threat Zovaal is talking about probably hasnt even been written yet by Blizz. They are just gonna yolo the story like they did with the rest of the expansion.

The First Ones created the cosmos. The 6 forces.

So, one of them, “The Fallen First One”, will return to destroy that cosmos. Destroy all 6 forces.

Very original, never sought before in Wow or any other franquise.

Magic is a thing

My take it isn’t magic but more in line with Azeroth from the beginning and we are changing ,we will be changing there is no point in evolving we wouldn’t be . We were influenced from the beginning and Zovaal knew this that is why he didn’t kill us straight off. We played right in to it just what he wanted.

I think its likely to be involved in some way. The hint we had in BfA of Anduin experiencing a minor flourish of shadow power from a character who had only ever used the Light, made me think that was mentioned for a reason.

There have just been too many hints of it, imo.

The threat was the legion, but being locked up in the maw meant he didn’t get any updated on them.

If Steve plays this right it would impact our characters in some way it make a great story ,but I highly doubt blizz would do it.

Seems to me that according to Chromie Time, in the future, the Void Lords are demystified down to just another faction of invading monsters.

About the only character that they have set up for some real development and angst is Anduin. He has been through a couple of years of intense stress, has been tortured and abused mentally and emotionally by the Jailer and must have had his faith in the Light shaken (since it was utterly useless against the Death powers around him). This puts what was a fairly shallow character into a position to be pivotal, if they handle it right.

My issue is, Im not sure if they can handle it right. I could write a fanfic and do a pretty decent job of it, Im just not sure they can.

the great threat zovaal is talking about is the same one n’zoth is it is a force outside the 6 cosmic forces aka outside the bounds the first ones set up. check what his video says starting at link time

Everyone in this thread is overthinking it. Meanwhile, I guarantee you that the Blizzard writers are underthinking it.
