The War Within has been out for just over two months now and I wanted to look at technical issues/bugs the game has had since its launch. It feels like there’s been a lot more issues in the early days of the expac than in recent years. I don’t know how much is spaghetti code, lack of QA, or something else. Can Blizz please spend some Microsoft/Game Shop Bruto bucks and hire back some QA people instead of relying on players?
This is not a complete list, feel free to add any I’ve missed.
Logging initially or after you first get on a mount after logging in causes you to display gaining a bunch of titles you already have. (This started in DF)
Constant spamming of multiple members of your guild logging in even though they were already logged in
Stuttering in dragon races that can’t be explained by lag
Various class bugs
Issues in raid, partially listed in this WoWhead article (Last 4 Bosses in Nerub-ar Palace Still Frustratingly Bugged Since Patch 11.0.5 - Wowhead News), but also lag, disconnects (had 5 ppl in my raid disconnect at the same time when we pulled a boss in Mythic yesterday), “staying in combat” bugs, Ulgrax sometimes jumping twice when transitioning to P2 (causing a lot of extra AOE damage), the Silken Court bug, etc.
The recent issues with portals sending you random places (like the ocean or inside plagued UC that kills you after you exit)
The raid issues during Mythic prog are especially aggravating. And some other bugs/issues that are currently in the game have been known about for a long time.

Thank you for making this post! A lot of wonky bugs have happened with TWW prepatch and beyond.
It’s strange but Shadowlands content seems to be the most impacted of previous expansions (?). Ex: Path of Ascension broken, progression stopping, so on and so forth. The Bugs forum has a good record of all the SL issues for those who want to go back and do that content.
Uncertain what the connection is between TWW and SL, but it has been an odd consistency.

The “overload empowered deposit” ability not spawning the circle portal thingy on crystallized nodes half the time is another one.

I also had hoped Blizz would’ve learned the lesson about having a major outdoor event and world bosses in the same zones. The resulting lag of either is bad enough but when you have both at the same time it’s just unplayable.

I cant recall a single moment of the Anniversary event where I have any lag while in Tanaris.
My personal view is that there is no lag issue.

I’m specifically thinking of World Boss + Theater event.

I would think that a need for a unique phasing, or instanced area where the world boss would spawn. Regardless of which zones were available for any given patch would be required.
As we have seen with the last few expansions. Having a world boss in each new zone is essentially mandatory.
What else can be done when that is the structured means of release for a world boss to reduce lag?
Don’t forget the endless spam of guild achievements that addon authors solved in a week, but took blizz devs over a month to fix.
