What exactly is stupid about it?
Me not agreeing with you, and staunchly standing my ground clearly equals a troll. By all means, report me and let the people who are paid to look at things and are mature enough to understand people don’t have to agree with each other sort it out.
Key word here “New Classic servers” which is exactly what you quoted me saying. A “Whole new experience”. They aren’t going to flip the servers as they are now into them. They will be new. Anything else?
I came here for tbc not tbc wrath mixture
Next thing Ull ask for free spec swapping then lfd then cross realm etc
Just not it’s stupid
It’s a great change to the game. Players wanted it in TBC. Blizz listened and implemented it into wrath.
oh so like seals for alliance how that was a wotlk prelaunch thing right? You going to quit now because that’s not TBC it’s a tbc wrath mixture right?
You absolutely were told that. Before it was released you were told what changes would come with it and told that the devs were considering more changes.
No, I very much stated that Blizzard does lease it out to another company. And their practices and such are counter to ours. They have freedom with the game. I just love how you deal in extremes. I mention they have freedom with the game, you make it sound like they’re spawning Arthas as every mob in Elwynn Forest. And broad, false claims? You mean like me quoting design choices by Ghostcrawler and his team explaining their very changes to the class dynamic with dual spec and the design choices of Wrath? Yeah… I’m totally making that up. You caught me.
Yes I’m unhappy about that as well but I never said anything about quitting.
Educate urself on how to read
No we were not. We were told “some changes” So far the changes have been rebalancing. Nothing has been so absurdly big that if changed the complete meta of the game. You can keep repeating this to yourself, but “some changes” does not equate to “Extras!” Dual spec, is an extra. Fixing a bug or giving the seal to the other side when it wasn’t a design choice the expansion was based on, is a change.
Elaborate.
Delaying an entire raid tier by months is not rebalancing. Having Chronoboon Displacers in the game so you can save and then use world buffs to level from 60-63? Or 64 is not rebalancing. Being able to pay to be instantly leveled to 58 is not rebalancing.
That was a change to help preserve balance. The Paladin seals wasn’t a system that was a part of the expansion design. There is absolutely nothing that is changed by the seals that flips the meta upside down. Wrath made many design choices around the idea of dual spec to make it so anyone could approach a situation. It removed a lot of class depth in identity with mechanics that were required by certain classes to handle.
Boost is QoL
That’s a WoW Classic thing, you can already use the world buffs without Chronoboon. I do it all the time. It doesn’t change the meta of the game. World buff stacking did. I don’t approve of the Boon, but it doesn’t stop me from doing what I already can do by parking an alt in Org or Stormwind with a timer telling me to go back for the buff and then leveling.
As for the boost while I do not approve of them there is nothing about it that stops “TBC” which is the current content. My guild who are compromised of very experienced players were wiping in some dungeons to screw ups just like a boosted player was. They still have to level 58 to 70 which is TBC content just like you and I did. Distasteful? I’ll drink to that, and I’ll buy your drink on it too.
Now elaborate on what NetEase has freedom to do with the game.
My point is, that you’re not playing on patch 2.0 from launch on Jan 16 2007. You’re playing on patch 2.4 from march 2008. Just like in classic, patch 1.12 instead of 1.0. You’re never truly playing real classic as it was. You have so many QoL changes. Just like how dual spec was and is a QoL change that I and many people from 2007 onward wanted and blizzard listened.
Again idc if it’s added, I’m just saying it’s not going to “break the game” or “kill the game” I’m sure plenty of people would rather have it or don’t care if it’s added than people who don’t want it.
Imagine earning 150 gold per gem and 1000g per enchant!
You would have enough to pay for respecs!
Mainly things like the swapping of the models, their pay models are different, they have the ability to restrict player playtime, debuff those on for too long when it comes to experience. And there are some holiday events that they exclude at their leisure or could include should they change their mind at their leisure. Nothing absolutely game breaking. They reserve the right to overturn some changes as well if at any time they feel it is inappropriate for their target audience. Blizzard still very much has to handle things from their end.
Explain.
What swapping of the models? Blizzard created those models and we have them in our client because there is no “Chinese” client. Every change to the client is made by Blizzard.
They reserve no right to do anything with the WoW client.
I’m having a hard time following the blood elf paladins argument
The changes already in tbc classic are ok because they were done to balance the game and don’t change the meta (new changes to game balance don’t change the meta? Umm hello? What do you think rebalancing does?
Yet dual spec, which doesn’t change any gameplay mechanics, is bad because it changes the meta?
Hmmm
Something extra isn’t extra unless you decide it’s a “big” extra. Something small, like for example, a level 58 boost isn’t a big enough extra to qualify as an extra
