The systems have already started

LOL they don’t listen to us at all.

Blizzard has confirmed that you will only be able to “fly” in the Dragon Isles using the new Dragonriding system. Your broader mount collection will act only as ground mounts in the new zones

So instead of this being a fun thing we can do if we want, it’s already being forced upon the entire playerbase.

The amount of double speak about listening to us about these things is hilarious. This is 100% about to be worse than shadowlands.

Hit me up with that source if you’re going to be claiming that.

I don’t think nothing can be worse than shadowlands (In my opinion), though it is true that, if it was confirmed that we cant use any other mount than the one they want us to use with the new system, is a problem (the problem here being ‘forced’).

The good thing (at least) that I can observe is that we will able to use flying from the beginning.

“WE WANT FLYING OUT OF THE GATE!”

“Okay, we’re introducing a system where not only can you fly out of the gate, but you can fully customize your own special dragon mount to do so. Just means you won’t be able to use your mounts to start.”

“NO NOT LIKE THAT! >:(”

They confirmed it in an interview, I think it was the one with Hazlenutty. But I was saying exactly the same thing to my wife, that if they don’t make it so all the other mounts don’t work then what would be the point of skilling up the dragonriding stuff to be able to ‘go higher’ etc, if you could just ride a regular mount and do it.

System sounds like you can go faster than what we have now. Sounds incredibly fun so far, conceptually. They need to deliver.

We can probably derp around on our normal mounts about halfway through. Once more it’s just the GD community whining.

Again.

that dragon is hauling gluteus maximus in the preview they showed

my assumption is dragonriding is basically pathfinder 2.0.

we start out not being able to fly and slowly increase our ability to do so as we work through the dragonriding system.

hopefully, by the end, we can fly freely.

hopefully the dragon customizations aren’t as stupidly borked as pocopoc customizations were (dude still won’t keep his hat on)

it makes for better emersion im ok with it a mount is just a mount to me im not a mount farmer that has 770 mounts…lol.

It makes complete sense and is a good compromise to no flying at all until X patch + rep + story progression.

You people will cry about anything. The Dragon is faster than any 310 mount. You just have to unlock it by playing the game. I am looking forward to this. If they end up nerfing it because of you whiners I am going to be pissed.

That is also what I am seeing. Much like the new “race” they are hiding the real systems with thier vague comments because they know many players will hate their design decisions

As long as we can use our own mounts (and flight form) later on, I think this should be okay, assuming the dragon flying isn’t annoying.

This makes me worried as well.

The concept presented has me incredibly hyped. But it does depend on how it’s designed for feeling by Blizzard.

I hope I can get into alpha/beta. I would nonstop test that flying.

Regular flying is so basic and boring. Outside of the convenience argument, I never understood it. I could see people being upset that they can ONLY fly on a dragon, but I’m more looking forward to seeing if Blizz can actually make flying interesting.

Maybe they’ll introduce the new flying mechanics to all other flying mounts. I don’t really care that much. I’d hope the new flying mechanics can be used outside of the Dragon Isles.

It is worse than that. All existing mounts will be removed from your collection.
