While we’re thinking about it, the term pen is often used to describe a holding for animals which could also be degrading for said Dranei. It could be called “The enclosures which contain those formerly enslaved but now considered involuntarily indentured laborers”.

The whole thing with Orwell was that the evil was narrowing the margins of thought. You want to remove the word “slave” because for social brownie points you allege it’s offensive. And, like in 1984, we go along the list of offensive words we end up with a society that cannot even express itself - things are “double-plus good” because that’s all they can manage. Canceling statutes, canceling vocabulary, canceling books, canceling history, canceling thought. It’s a slippery slope and I don’t believe you have shown that you have the capacity to even understand what people are trying to explain to you.
