The Streamers are no longer on our side

Keep that in mind when you're watching their content. They are sellouts and are puppets for Blizzard now. Exclusive interviews? Getting unbanned from Twitch? They don't care about an authentic vanilla experience anymore, they just want to sell their merch and stream on twitch. Stop idolizing these people and putting them on a pedestal. They do not represent us.

If you want your true authentic vanilla experience, you need to time travel quite a few years back. It's impossible to re-create a 'true' vanilla experience at this time, even on private servers. The community in general is different, as well as all of the resources available today.

Sure, some people are sellouts, but just because they don't agree with you doesn't make them a sellout.

Small Private Servers were spot on.

Small Private Servers were spot on.

Some private servers were close in terms of the game itself, but there's more to the game than just the game. The community itself is way different, and all of the resources online are much more abundant today than they were over a decade ago, not to mention things like the internet/computers being different than the true time of vanilla.

we dont need them to recreate the vanilla experience. we need them to recreate the vanilla game without all of the bells and whistles.
We the players will recreate the experience form there.

Streamers have a vested interest in having people watch them play current content, so obviously they aren't on our side.
I watched Esfand last night for a few minutes and all he was doing was making excuses for this, and now with the new "Totally not a Blizzard-supported PR video" that was linked in the other thread, it's clear what's up.

Of course they're not, they're trying over dramatize everything in the interest of stirring up !@#$.
Geezer. Being open minded, rational, and not angry at the world, will get you in trouble these days.

All hope is lost

When playing video games becomes your main source of income they'll probably say anything to save face. I never valued their opinions in the first place, watching other people play videogames and seeing their sycophantic fans obsess over them kind of makes my skin crawl, but now there's even more reason to distrust them.

A lot of these streamers and youtubers are very much in bed with the corporations.

They never were on "your side". They are out for themselves and to keep you following them. You are their pawns and have always been.
They get paid to sell the game. They are just sales proxy
dissapointed in sodapoppin tbh... didn't think he was a blizz shill.
