The story is doomed...unless

I don’t think the story is going to be saved following around Alleria, Anduin, Thrall, and Jaina anymore.

I’m literally tired of their voices. Khadgar too.

This story seems too far gone to save but I think a clean slate with new writing and characters could go a long way.

We don’t follow around thrall though

we definitely need to kill off all the new characters they tried to introduce as important as well. I feel like we just need to give up on having a comprehensive main story quest where we follow “heroes” around and go back to immersive zones with somewhat interesting and engaging side quests with one off characters that are written by some outsourced hobby writers.

Who’s he?

Ooooh that’s right, the Orc who just makes cameos at the start then disappears into obscurity to make way for Alliance heroes.

Yeah…

Nah…

Don’t worry, next expansion we’re following Arator around. That will surely be different from following around other Windrunners.

I am hoping that Midnight is far more Horde (well what’s left of it) focused with perhaps the Alliance being the aggressors.

I want Rommath to get his moment to shine…and a sexy visual upgrade. <3

Go ahead. People don’t like truth. If you choose to ignore truth, it’s still there.

I dunno, out of everyone in TWW my fave ‘new’ character is Dagran Thaurissan II.

A sweet nerdy young man who can also kick butt…but only when needed. His whole arc in The Ringing Deeps was so well written.

I would not mind if he was around for a little in Midnight.

His mom was also really cool. I dunno, I think they let all the right characters shine and it’s not that bad. I feel like a very small part of the story felt out of place which was the arathi thing. Everything else was good to me.

The Arathi were just far to soft, and kind for my liking.

I was ready for fanatics, but we kinda got friendly instead. It fell flat to me.

I also have huge, huge issues, with all of the Dalran epilogue but I can rant on that another time. -_-

and what do they all have in common? the alliance and yes thrall too he’s jaina’s dog so kill him and kill the alliance, go back to faction wars. game cant be saved going forward with the clowns theyre introducing either so pretty much kill everyone and restart lol.

Given I hear we’re following Arator around in Eversong and the housing portraits are all Alliance chars… Oh your hopes might be dashed.

Only thing we can do to make the story better is start from Legion. Make the sword the center of the next expansion. Still use Kul Tiras and Zandalar, but do something more interesting other than another stupid war.

Maybe more Old Gods stuff. Make the void scary, unlike the way it is now.

I have a feeling ‘The Sword’ is going to be front and center in The Last Titan.

They showcased it in WW cinematic, and they literally did nothing with it. If anything, it’ll be a footnote.

Who? The Orc that we see in the loading screens and literally nowhere else?? I dunno what story you’ve been following but I haven’t seen anything but Humans, Elves & Alliance shenanigans all expansion. Even the Goblin area the story was around the “Alliance” Goblin.

I mean, it’s pretty clear from the cinematic that the Void is the aggressors.

Saved from what? I like the stories.

The story is pretty great, especially when they take us back to old content like they did with the Arathi and Trolls and behold, we are fighting the Trolls next expansion - things always line-up as they should.

You should start reading the short stories and books on the side it really does help ALOT. Perspective is a hidden gem when playing WoW.

The Arathi we met were an expedition who’ve been fighting to survive the last 20~ years. They don’t have the luxury of fanaticism, they have to work together or die.

The main empire, the ones who’ve been the only superpower on their continent for centuries are the ones you want if you’re looking for fanatics. Nothing breeds extremism like comfort and security.
