The Stone Cores location

Is the stone core inside the pillar or under? It’s way too big to be inside the pillar.

Inside the pillar, its too big because game world =/= to scale. Just look at Karazhan.

In general, dungeons are much larger than their in-world counterparts. Scarlet Monastery is a good example, as is Karazhan as Zerde mentioned.

Deadmines is my favorite example of how dungeons don’t always match up to their game world counterparts. If you go from the barn’s entrence in Moonbrook to the exit behind the hills, Deadmines should be so much smaller than it actually is. And you keep descending as you go, only for the exit to be a higher elevation than even the barn hiding the tunnels!!

Dungeons are just weird.

lol, I’d love to have some scholars, bonus points if its cross faction, arguing over how that works.

Blackwing Decent is my favourite. The entrance is on the right side of Blackrock Mountain (coming in from Burning steppes, aka facing north) but the raid takes place on the left side of the mountain.

Always fun when the starting point of a dungeon is nowhere near the actual portal and there are no logical explanations as to why. Tol Dagor is also a good one. Entrance is the front door for the prison but you start on the beach.
