I’ve never said that. I think It’s great that people learn how to counter twinks by actually using CC and learning their classes better… But okay?
If people are going to say “We use BGs to level, put twinks in their own brackets” then of course I’m going to say they’re silly to try and level with BGs.
All separating does is make it so neither twinks or casuals can BG more than once a day with que times.
No! not at all. If noob’s want to que in pvp thats their choice. No one is stopping them lmao. While you are lvling it isnt hard to get decent gear from dungeons. Even if u lose bg’s you still get a decent amount of xp :). Put in some effort and it isnt to hard! I remember getting beat so bad by twinks in pvp back in BC, I thought to myself “you know this seems really fun to just smack everyone”. So I started twinking myself and by god it is very fun.
So the answer is to never pvp until you’re the top level of a bracket with capped out gear, then you’ll stomp for the whole 2 battlegrounds you get to play before outleveling the bracket?
Wow, not like that ruins the entire point of using pvp to level or anything.
Come on girl, use your brain at least a little. Saying people shouldn’t pvp until they are the top level of each bracket is stupid.
I will get behind this post. I don’t twink, I get absolutely destroyed by them if i pop into a BG when I level. I don’t care. It is a legit playstyle. Why ruin it?
I did a lot of low-level PvP while twinks were seperated. A lot.
The queues didn’t magically sail up to insane numbers, sorry to shatter your narrative.
I’m not sure why your personal experience differing from mine (I’d love to hear which bracket you were in) shatters my narrative but my prerogative isn’t to tell stories. The queues were absent enough, aside from organized events on forums, that my interest in the game left and I cancelled my sub. A lot of people are about to do the same this week.
Because what I can tell you, despite your memory of a game 12 years ago, TODAY, as we speak, twinks are prohibited from playing BGs.
I’m not surprised by this change. Blizzard put all their eggs into the PvP basket with BfA, and if someone’s first encounter with a BG is getting roflstomped by a twink, it’s gonna deter them in the future. That’s my guess as to their thinking on this, anyway.
This is every person that twinks. It’s not because the thrill of twinking or being a min/maxer. you do it to smash people that have no chance at beating you and are scared of fighting other twinks.

We were suspecting this as well, as well as why it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes.
Unfortunately Blizzard has forgotten to search for other solutions like gear templates and decided to just flip the switch to OFF.
All twinking ever did was discourage new and returning players from pvping, it’s a pain to go into low brackets and have to compete with twinks, they needed their own lowbie rated bg system.
The only reason I bought my account is to play twinks. I quit WoW many years ago after I got to level 60 and they started raising the level cap because I’m not a gear carrot on the stick kind of person. I want to get some good gear and go play.
And I really don’t see what the big deal about twinking is. Compared to what it was in vanilla wow it’s incredibly easy to twink a toon now with heirloom gear. But the best gear I’ve found so far is gear that drops in the battleground once you are capped at a level. It usually has versatility.
I spent $20 for some gold and twinked up multiple characters across 2 accounts enough to be competitive. Just spent another $20 a week or so ago to do some on the other side, but it’s mostly about engineering and enchants.
All twinking ever did was make me want to get better gear.
I like winning. I can be extremely competitive sometimes, to the point where I’ve stepped back and said “Woah!” at how brutal I was feeling. But that was against someone that was giving me as good as they got. If I’m against someone that I can “just smack around”, it’s not fun. I feel like I’m beating my kids at poker when all they know is Go Fish.
Asking a leveling player, possibly a first timer as well to lock his/her xp to grind for a restrict level bracket to “have fun” - I will take it from here you were trolling the whole time.
Even though I do not agree with the approach Blizzard took (again) with thi subject, can’t you see how twinkers free farming new/low level players hurt the game more than their entire player base leaving would?
You have some serious problems with reading comprehension. I’ve literally said twice that I keep my gear to the highest level possible while leveling, I have no control over what gear I am able to use. If I’m level 105, I cannot wear the same gear as a level 109, and in that bracket in particular you can have over double the HP of everyone else by twinking at 109. It’s a problem. I can’t spell this out for you any more than this.
