Oh man, let me get my mug ready for tears of unfathomable sadness.
Iâm happy they finally confirmed it - this indicates they knew thereâd be a backlash by not including it in the patch notes, knowing full well theyâd piss a lot of people off. This also lets us move forward and try to FIX the âseparate queueâ theyâve given us, as currently we still cannot find any games against fellow twinks.
Let me repeat that for those that keep spewing forth without reading the thread: we cannot get games. Weâre mad about that. Not about the separation.
If they were really in for the competition, they would compete at end game level donât you think?
Honestly twinks are just an annoyance for any person just trying to play at this level on classes they might not master at all and are learning to play.
The minimum should be a toggle to allow you to queue to BGs without twinks⌠that would probably be the best compromise.
Hereâs the thing you, and a lot of twinks, seem to be missing - Some people just donât want to twink. They might want to just hop into a BG for a quick game or two in between doing dungeons and questing while leveling, or gasp a new player may in fact want to try a BG to see what itâs like, only to be completely stomped by someone like you.
At the end of the day, low level PvPing was never designed with twinking in mind. It was designed as a way for low levels to, well, PvP. Twinking has always been a player-created method of play, and has never been outright affirmed or rejected by Blizzard, theyâve simply allowed it.
And they still allow it - theyâve just re-enabled the separate queue for people that have level-locked themselves, so as to not disrupt the playstyle of people who are using low level PvP as it was intended.
Maybe thisâll get reversed, maybe it wont. But for right now - and as you can probably tell - a lot of low level PvPers are pretty happy with this change, and franky I canât blame them. PvP isnât much fun when youâre getting destroyed by others in a low level bracket.
I mean, I can get expecting to gear up, learn strategies, and all that jazz at 120âŚBut come on, you really expect all low levels to play your very specific, niche way when all they probably want to do is run a quick, casual BG? Whose the one being selfish and entitled here if you honestly think thatâs the case.

Totally agree, and I made a suggestion similar to this in the thread and in my OP.
It would be completely reasonable to put those with limited # of BGs into their own bracket, because new players, especially in the lower brackets or expansion boost brackets outnumber the # of twinks in those same brackets. Theyâd actually get their games, unlike us. And it would be an enjoyable way for them to learn the basics of the game.
I donât understand why they put a small group of us into a bracket together. Only 19s and maybe 29s will get a chance to queue up against each other. MAYBE.

On twitter there is currently more of a backlash than on these forums. From non-twinks as well. Turns out removing a huge number of your pvpers from queue disrupts leveler queues as well.
me and the 600+ 119 twink community iâm in have cancelled our subs over this change. whoever decided to do this needs to be fired, they have no idea that they just broke the game. Que times are so long the game is unplayable for xp-off 119 now. We refuse to spend months farming 400 ilvl gear just to be able to compete at 120.
This 1000 times this! Blizzard thank you for restoring separate xp off queues. Best decision you have made in a long time.
Itâs easy to ignore and dismiss the losers of something like this. I just hope Blizzard can slog through the noise and understand weâre trying to play with their stupid system, it just isnât working. Meanwhile, yes, xp-on folks get their twinkless games. Wonderful. Now can we please focus on letting US play?
please, I can make a twitter account in 2-3 mins and claim alot of bad things and count it as âalot of backlashâ itâs people from that 3rd party website spaming it someone prob made a thread there or their âdiscordâ to go and flame there⌠nothing unexpected.
Even lowballing, your 600 person community is a small drop in a bucket for the (low-estimate) 2 million community of players. You are 0.03% of the population. the other 99.97% either does not care or supports the change.
Does that really excuse the mistreatment of marginalized people? I donât think so.
Those people arenât just going to be okay with the change because theyâre the minority. Itâs the same as in real life.
Not trying to be snarky though it will come out that way, but how is that different than the time you spent twinking a 119?
what specifically makes you not want to pvp at 120? is it having to constantly gear? because you still do have to constantly gear when blizz changes stats on gear all the time even as a twink. iâm trying to understand. âcommunityâ is not a good reason as you can be level 10 to level 120 and join a pvp community and play against other players. though most will be at cap.
There really are that many, or more twinks that exist. The problem is theyâre all split between all the brackets so weâre spread too thin to get matches in our individual brackets.
Thats⌠10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100-109, and 110-119
Please try to understand weâre upset BECAUSE this change effectively ruins queues for us. You might find it hard to believe that there are a lot of us, that can only queue with small portions of the entire community, but thatâs just how it is now.
I donât think people realize that on patch day, most twinks were online, trying to queue. That was the best chance any of us had to get games, and IF the queue separation worked as they say it does, YES we should have had games. We didnât. And it sure as hell wonât be any better in the future.
Iâm not reading every post. But so many people seem to have never done a random leveling BG. Itâs not hard to keep up with twinks. I leveled my LFD and DID since 8.0 started. I just threw Elemental Force enchants on my weapons, Mark of the Hidden Satyr on my neck. Then just queued for BGs. From 1-60 I just replaced non heirloom gear with random greens from the AH every 5 or so levels. If you donât want perfect level âX9â gear you can find stuff for less than 50g. Belt and Boots I just replaced with the AB stuff every level that ended in 8.
Oh god, the twink posts donât seem to end today.
Listen, it comes down to the most basic elemental thing:
Developers should not and cannot maintain and promote old content.
What do I mean? The content is there for you, enjoy as you wish, but with the understanding that it is OLD content. Therefore, no updates, no balancing, no exclusions should be taken. Because every second that happens, its time not being put into NEW content.
If twinks get their own Rated BGs that means maintenance, then balance, then considerations towards broken items. Prizes, leaderboards. Etc. Etc. Etc. For content that is OUTDATED.
If or when the day comes where no more patches are released, then old content can be looked at. Until then, the priority is NEW CONTENT. If YOU choose to stay behind, that is fine. But pay the price of changes that will affect you because you are not meant to stay in that old content forever.
The courtesy to give you the stop XP in the first place was enough to let you âplay the gameâ the way you want. If you cannot queue for the brackets, that is on your community (if there ever was one) not on the devs. or other palyers that choose to not do twinks.
This is the SAME SORRY argument that all the crybabies had when Cataclysm was going to launch and effectively erased the old maps. EVERYONE who was stuck in the past demanded they keep the old maps accessible. Progress to the new content or wait for Classic to release this summer. Go and live in the past then, I bet all my gold, half of the twinks wonât dare go there and get decimated by even leveled players.
Twink salt is the best kind of salt.
Glad the BfA team did something right for a change.
It takes ~220 people to have enough players to do a 10v10 in 11 distinct brackets. If you had anywhere near the numbers you talk about you would be rolling in games. Or at least some brackets would even if others wouldnât because they were unpopular brackets to play in. Thatâs presuming that not even 1.5% of the âtens of thousandsâ of twink players logged in if we use the minimum value there based upon the plurality of the claim (20k). That didnât happen.
But again, I understand you donât have queues. I think twinking ruins queues for nontwinks. The solution isnât to force nontwinks to be fodder for twinks. Which leads me back to the previous point. If you had the numbers you claim you have you wouldnât have any problems filling games. Thereâs no solution that pleases everyone and I donât think itâs fair (and clearly Blizzard doesnât either) to force the vast majority of people to be fish food for twinks.
Youâre right. Clearly you know better than I. All of that testing we all did for 12 hrs+ in queue, entire communities waiting patiently online, in every bracket, all beaten by your assumptive logic.
I guess I will hop into this BG then
at this point I donât bother anymore, the answer is clearly âthe numbers are spread all over the other brackets in the gameâ as long everything that they do justifies the good in things itâs shinny and gold.
