I liked templates too, but as I said, too many people complained. They realized they didnât like having skill matter more than gear after all. Though if they thought about it, when Resilience was removed in MoP was when we really saw how much gear did matter.
I LOVED templates for max level BGs. Still saw quite a few low level BG complaints, but never really did any at that time.

Eh? Solution is rather easy, mathematically speaking (not sure what their actual code looks like though): Just clamp/ceiling the ilvl when doing the scaled damage roll. That would solve like 90% of the issue with people wearing rando epic BoEs from the next expansionâs bracket.
I mean, the scaling code already has a floor for ilvl, adding a ceiling should be easy.

And I guess this is where we get to my bottleneck of âtoo bad, so sadâ, but gun to my head a template change permanently enacted would create an entirely new force of twinks, in it only for the low level competition. And I would revel in it. regardless of twink unhappiness
Despite that, I hope, since this thread is winding down now, we can at least move on and see what tomorrow brings whether this is a bug or a feature. And not be so stressed out, both sides.
If itâs a bug? Iâll keep this thread at heart and make an effort more than I usually do to quell toxic behavior when I see it, more than Iâd usually do. I think we should all play a part in that role.
If itâs a feature? Well, you may never see me again, but Iâll die on the hill saying twinking was worth it the entire way. Made some damn good friends because of it.

I completely support OP, there is nothing wrong with twinking. It has been since start of wow.
Its the RPG aspect, the more geared you are the more powerful you are.
If you are getting destroyed in BG, then improve your gear, its simple as that.
Twinking is legit gameplay, they should be allowed to que with normals instead of having seperate que

It aint low effort at all, they did put effort at improving their gears and getting the best ones, it is those who are getting destroyed that should look into their gears and improve it if they want to put a fight

you guys are smurfing, nothing more, nothing less, and this is why nobody cares for you or sympathizes with you. and even WORSE, youâre smurfing with OP gear. you say âanyone can get this gearâ, dude, nobody casually leveling up and doing random bgs cares nearly enough to go get gear to have a chance against you , while leveling, as they will be past that bracket in only a few hours tops of playing. they shouldnât have to anyways. i canât get over these people trying to defend twinking, itâs blowing my mind they think they actually have a case.

Assuming this new change is deliberate, it will decimate the Twink community for the second time in WoWâs history.
Blizzard will lose more money than it makes from fewer leveling players complaining, as many players choose to unsub either as a protest, or because they simply donât find BFA content compelling enough to keep paying.
