Right, it is absolutely encouraged to stop and gather. I am a skinner and every wrek that we have done Ulduar and TOGC, I am asked to skin the bodies and provide for the guild bank.
i got chased away from classic by a very bad guild experience in early wotlk. never looked back. basically amounted to guild politics and backstabbing. never going back.
Don’t let one bad experience ruin your game! The horde side of Bloodsail Buccaneers is very welcoming if you want to give it a try. People are very nice and happy to help others…If you join, lmk and we can play together!
no. after this experience im done with guilds. I dont trust anyone anymore.
Not everyone is bad. I do understand, though. Have a good day!
In a normal dungeon, I would say don’t be worried about mechanics.
The encounters will show you how they work, but there 0 threat of dying.
“LFM VoA 25 meet at Dalaran fountain to check gear”
“LFM Naxxrammas checking logs checking gear go at 6PM”
In retail, there’s more content than time. In classic, they’re more time than content. Time is a currency in retail, where it’s a schedule in classic. Very different experience.
That said, I’ve made some good friends from doing m+. It’s incredibly social. I see these myths that m+ is “gogogo” and that m+ players have no chill or never talk, and nothing could be further from truth. I’ve never seen someone who actually does m+ regularly say these things. It’s always someone who barely does keys, yet people always let it slide like it’s common knowledge, when it’s just farcical.
yea because nobody wants to waste time in a normal dungeon. normal dungeons exist only to level once you hit level cap its easy to get some gear and run keys. heroic is only usefull for the weekly quest also. so the faster we get the dungeon over with the more xp per hour i can make thus getting to 70 faster.
I have learned that mechanics are kinda nonexistent in normal lol I definitely feel like a glorified DPS.
I am not going to say this isn’t happening, though it has not been my experience. On the server I play in WotLK, people are pretty great. There are some sweaty tryhards, but for the most part, the raiding scene is pretty chill.
Not necessarily. The reason I was doing them after timewalking was to get a high enough gear score to get into heroics and LFR.
I don’t know how M+ works but I doubt many people stop to pick herbs in a M+. I was more talking of Time Walking dungeons; an example for me is Darkheart Thicket in Legion. Early on you come across a bunch of dryads and other mobs and wandering flower mobs. The flowers drop a herb in decent quantitites that my scribe can use to mill to make valuable glyphs. In fact, I regularly farm that instance for those herbs, since I dont kill a boss and can go back in Normal frequently. I did one of those recently on TW and I did stop quickly to gather some of the herbs - I mean, they were just lying there, it seems sad not to collect them. Nobody abused me since they were all overpowering everything and me being 10s behind made no diff.
In anything above regular mythic, gathering is actually disabled.
There is no reason to drive 55MpH when my speedometer clearly goes up to 110.
I mean lol In game and in real life, you want to adhere to the general… “speed” of the group to avoid collisions.
Take it from me - car accidents at high speed are not fun. That’s how I ended up with a brain injury and seizures.
I don’t blame the player. I’m being real about it. And frankly being kicked. For slow seldom happens. Likewise people gatherings is also rare but super rare both issues line up. Btw 149 70s now. If anyone wants to see how common or rare rdf drama is simply level up this much. Yourealize soon drama is super rare and chill is very common.if someone gets it constantly which can happen they need to think of the common denominator
Things have gone much better for me since posting this.
