I played horde in TBC and the que times back then were between 5-15 minutes, this was on stonemaul which was a high pop server. the que times right now for horde on av weekend are 40minutes to an hour, and normally 1hour to 1.5 hours on week days. This is not a mildly inconvenient increase in que times, this makes honor gear virtually unattainable for horde. Not to mention when you do finally get into your que 75% of the time it is an alliance premade that will rofl stomp your team, while horde are feasibly unable to premade as it would turn your 1hour que into a 2hour or even longer que.the inability for horde to acquire pvp gear due to long ques and alliance premades, in turn gives alliance a significant advantage in arenas. since they have easy access to attaining their entire set of pvp gear with little effort and time invested. hard to win arenas when the other team is full resilience gear while mine is pre-raid bis with some kara gear.even gladiator horde teams with mostly bis raid gear get hard stuck at 1800 rating because of this.
- Giant wall of text
- Asking for something that hundreds of threads have already been created for
- Made by a Horde character once he realizes his faction is not 100% upsides, and that there are both bad and good aspects of each faction.
Yep, this thread is going places. Not into any battlegrounds, but maybe other places.
It is the price you pay for bis racials
figured id do something constructive since im only 30 minutes into my 50 (estimated) minute
av weekend que.
Calling it constructive is awfully generous, if anything it’s quite the opposite. There are more than enough threads on this already, y’all are just desperately spamming hoping that Blizzard will take away one of the only incentives to choose Alliance this time around. It’d be a mistake if they do.
you realize horde pvp is unplayable in its current state. I play horde for the community and people i have enjoyed playing with, not the racials. and I would take full resilience gear and the ability to actually enjoy doing bgs over the relatively negligible bonus racials give.
Yes, yes - you just described incentives for choosing Alliance. I’m familiar with them; I chose Alliance for a reason.
so many ignorant alliance trolls.
How is this ignorant or a troll, exactly? I chose Alliance mostly for queue times - I should retain that benefit, because it both could and should have been expected.
It’s why I stayed Alliance through phase 2 of classic, etc. We had a worse open world experience, no ability to farm safely, you get the point.
I’m not saying this as a complaint about phase 2, I had an awesome time, but I’m saying I should absolutely keep the one perk that draws people toward playing the alliance - queue times. As should all of the other Alliance, as a way to incentivize playing the underdog faction moving forward.
pvpers have to quit horde and reroll alliance, or wait for faction transfers and still… go to alliance
Perception and Shadowmeld and Stoneform are BIS for arena.
How is Shadowmeld in its TBC iteration in any way BIS for arena? You understand it’s not a combat drop or anything right now.
You can barely make an argument for dropping combat then drinking, but that is more a mistake on the enemy for not tracking your position to get you out of stealth or keeping you in combat. It is by no means anywhere near as BIS as less situational, more generally applicable racials. TF?
what we’re trying to get across to blizzard so that they can fix it is that I should not have to leave my faction/community and the people I have enjoyed playing with since classic release so that I can have a relatively fair and decent experience in pvpwhich is a large part of the game and one of my favorite aspects of wow in general.
if blind was still a poison i could agree with you, but perception is the only good one rn and it’s only good vs 2 classes
racials do not justify the unplayability of horde pvp
No, but apparently the population does.
Not really. You just have to wait in a line. That doesn’t make it unplayable.
Not even close.
Warstomp -> cyclone >>> shadowmeld -> drink.
3 classes can fear, 2 classes have stealth. Wotf >>> perception.
Stoneform is good, though only on priest and I would hardly say it’s ‘bis’ only really good against hunters and rogues.
It increases stealth, helps caster nelfs get off drinking.
I know it isn’t a combat drop, but it’s still super good.
Preach sis.
