If you need to ask that then you clearly haven’t used the addon.
You can see where players are on the minimap, a step above Spy. Again, why do you feel you need it?
What server do you play on? I’d love to record this for laughs. YouTube might take it down for physical abuse of either a child, or a mentally handicapped person but I’ll take that risk.
Track humanoids requires a player to actually watch/check the minimap.
Spy will give you an automatically generated list of players within range and give you an alert when a new player is in range.
There’s really nothing to defend. Blizz has allowed the addon since Vanilla and some whiney baddies don’t like it so they keep spamming the forums with their alt armies. They think it’s addons, gear, or other classes are OP that makes them bad.

You’re the one on here defending a broken addon that lowers the skill cap of pvp. You are bad.
It doesn’t lower the skill cap of PvP. It doesn’t play your class for you, it just lets you know if people are in the vicinity.
Jeez, you act like the addon summons a pet that does a bunch of damage for you while you drool on your keyboard for hks requiring next to zero input from you as a player.

So removing the element of surprise by automatically notifying you of any player within range doesn’t lower the skill cap of PvP? Dumb.
Quit spreading misinformation. It’s their actions in the combat log that the addon reads. Not their range. If they have done nothing that shows up in the combat log, the addon doesn’t see them.
Only true bads spread misinformation and don’t seek out understanding. This is how we all know your “domination” of wpvp is bs.
A real pvper would want to know how it really works.

This has been an entertaining thread to read while waiting in line for a haunted hayride.
Ditto, I’ve farmed 3 arcane crystals and killed about 30 horde in EPL.
Considering I run past a lot of Alliance that don’t bother me, on probably the most dominant pvp server, it doesn’t do much. It doesn’t do anything I couldn’t already do myself.
Look dude, you’re playing a hunter in Vanilla. Trying to talk about skill caps and dumbing down the game is like a person in poverty trying to give investment advice.

Confirmed clueless about vanilla. Hunter is one of the highest skill cap classes in pvp.
