Here’s a bit of feedback that’s not really being discussed about the no flying time between pathfinder parts.
Yea yea another flying thread but this one isn’t just a complaint saying PF needs to go. PF is fine. The time gate is frustrating and here’s why.
Flight paths. When doing WQs you use FPs to get around right? Well that’s 2-4 minutes that you give away control of your character EVERY time you hop a flight path.
Now it wouldn’t be so bad if you hop a FP and go to the next hub to do a series of quests. That’s why leveling isn’t so bad without flying. The frustration comes in when you spend 3 minutes on a FP, land, run to your WQ that takes about 2 minutes to complete, pop your instant teleport whistle back to the FP then you have another 3 minute wait before you can interact with anything again.
This gameplay loop is so jarring it breaks me out of any type of immersion I could hope to have.
Yes I know flying thread after flying thread but I hope this one just explains a bit of the frustration I experienced from the time gate of pathfinder.
Keep pathfinder but if you keep the time gate, figure out something that doesn’t involve such wastes of time and actively taking control away from your character like FPs.

Keep Pathfinder the way it is. Please and thank you.

Honestly, taking a flight path is fine for me. Gives me a bit to chill, check my phone, get a Pepsi, check out my gear, bags, etc. I think what you are requesting is that the flight paths go faster. Which in Nazjatar, they are extremely fast. So I think they may already understand this.

the more threads about PF and its spiteful addition to the game the better.
maybe 1 day a dev will be told about how some of the customers feel about the product.
The more threads the greater chance a dev will gain knowledge. Because being booed at blizzcon, all major rich fans, is obviously not getting the message through.

But they don’t care. Even if a substantial amount of people stopped subscribing they still might not care. This is the path they’ve taken and they seem unwilling to deviate.

Then we continue to make noise until someone is fired and replaced with customer focused people and not “elitist jerks”

Every single time you move to a new WQ? How often to you check these things. A normal emissary is about 4 FPs worth of hurry up and wait.
I timed it one day and 70% of my time was spent travelling doing world quests and 30% playing.
One of the reasons I think people aren’t enjoying this game very much is because people just tab out during those flight paths and do something else. That removes any ability to stay engaged with the game.

Ever notice 1 year long Pathfinder people always post on Alts? Why is that?

Well I’ve had flying unlocked for a while now so I don’t really use the fps anymore except in Nazjatar. And you can find world quests that are jumbled together. You also don’t need to use fps. You could just use your ground mount and work your way from one side of the map to the other.
Not only that but with all these separate continents or islands now you have to go back to the base it you need to switch areas you can’t just fly to the other side. BfA only had two for most of it, next expansion it will have four separate islands (to start).
It depends on what WQ/emissaries you do. I do the azerite ones typically and that usually means going both sides and those are spread all over.
If you wanna filter just the Azerite ones then of course they will be more sparse. But that’s just the game hehe.
I had flying unlocked like 2 weeks after 8.2. It’s very important to my enjoyment of the game.
Tortolian and champions of azeroth emissaries would like a word.
You might find two together but I guarantee you’ll use a FP at least twice.
We have flying now but that frustration will come back with SL if nothing is done about it. I don’t have a solution other than FPs are jarring to the WQ centric play style.

Dude, okay those two sure, they will be far away from each other. But, you’ve got 3 days to do 4 of there quests. If immersion is more important, then there is nothing wrong with just using your ground mount until you have flying.
Some people feel more immersed in the game when they are flying

And take even more time to get them done? No thanks.

Well what do want? Immersion with ground mount until you have flying? Or use the flight point and possibly break immersion with the loss of control from your character?
Neither option is fun. FPs are annoying because I hate losing control of my character and hoofing it on the ground is tedious when it’s traveling to the exact same locations every single day.
