The solution in Blitz to not feel the depression

Since Blizzard devs still don’t know about the hundreds of posts about Blitz these weeks, I have a solution so we don’t feel bad about losing 80% of games and going up 7 points or 0 when you win.
Play like it’s a random bg and don’t take it seriously, I got so annoyed playing Blitz that I accidentally entered the game today without wanting to complete objectives, I just played like a bot and listening to music.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter how hard you try in Blitz, if the only ones who get high ratings are the dps and heals that play in Duo or the broken classes that are counted.
The solution is not to stress and let whatever has to happen, happen.

A lot of mmr/losing streak complaint posts out there. For every single one of those I’d like to think that there’s someone on a win streak and/or getting lifted up by the same mmr system, but they don’t come here to post about their success because that isn’t the nature of the forums.

I’ve been cruising pretty much the whole time. I did have a time where I got up to 2.6k mmr, had a 7 or 8 game loss streak which tanked me to high 1900 mmr. But after that I was able to get it back up and even higher. Pretty sure I’ve only lost rating once, every other loss has been 0 cr. Also, I have played 100% of my games solo queue.

I am the same. I don’t think I’ve ever lost rating for any of my 21 losses, and I’ve only ever queued solo. Duo queue doesn’t belong in Blitz.

There may be similar success stories out there, but again, few people will come here specifically to post about it.

Yeah, it’s a lot easier to be negative.

Every class is represented in 2100+. That tells me pretty clearly that any class CAN get to 2100.

So no, it’s not just luck, those folks who got to 2100plus played hard for it.

But I do agree that getting hung up on what happens to your rating in one game is not worth getting tilted over when there will be hundreds of games played over a season.

I bet my new computer that more than half of all of those did so by entering a duo to increase their advantage.

well.

if im 1850 mmr

id personally rather not have 1250 mmr team mate

i dont care if the Q is longer.

i dont want to bhe on team with people who dont do objective

i would DEF prefer t just wait a longer Q… NO DOUBT ABOUT IT NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS

It’s what I would do if I was trying to push into the top 3% or so., which is where 2100 is right now.

Everyone has as much access to duo Q as anyone else.

No point in taking it seriously. I can’t believe they pinch the mmr! I came out of the gate all excited…got to 1600+ opening season….then the mmr pinch. The rng. Why does blizz do stupid stuff like this???
So I tanked my pathetic 1600+ I leave half the games because I’m sure most are bots. I leave a lot of games. I only like the fast ques. Will see if late season climb is possible…until then I just joke around. Pathetic scaling mmr

i had 4 mages on my team not use time warp so i just said screw it and went AFK

the bots on my team got all mad with me lol. they didnt care about the 4 afk mages tho. thats cool

im tired of these scums.

im not playing nice anymore

they dont care abouyt the win? neither do i. fair game

Not playing well, from your observation, is not even in the same class as just going AFK.

I get the urge, I feel it. If they are gonna give up, why shouldn’t I?

And a lot of times it does end in a loss, not always tho.

For myself, I’ll keep trying, even if it is futile.

Never surrender.

No… not really its what killed 2s and 3s. The higher end of pvp is absurdly clicky and they sell boosts. Its a lot harder to break into then a CE guild.

Im baffled why blizzard let them ran rampant in a solo queue mode.

To put this in perspective a chunk of this group sold carries in solo queue arenas by syncing prot pally healer queues. Since there were so few and prots have to fight prots it worked.

OK sure.

I play a mechagnome but I don’t wear tinfoil hats.

I really don’t mind the duo-queuing, even though I only solo-queue. However, they really should put in a “reasonable” effort to match duo teams up against other duo-teams, even at the expense of some queue times (say 20% longer waits, which by today’s queue-times even for DPS is ~1-1.5 min longer).

If anything, don’t give up for one simple reason: Depending on the map and how far along the game is, you can still find fights that test your skill. See what you can do, even if you know the game is lost.
Sometimes I’ve surprised myself and did something I didn’t think was possible to do, and then took that newfound confidence into my next match (after a break of course, if needed).

So maybe just make it a personal challenge to put a cap on that base just to see if you can do it. Try a new strat versus a spec that gives you trouble. Use that time to experiment and go wild, since you’re going to lose anyway. The worst that can happen is maybe you somehow help your team make a comeback and win?

It’ll take them the entire expansion to fix the broken mmr just like it did solo shuffle in dragonflight.

Some would argue its still broken.

Damn i forgot to check my mmr, i forgot we even get ranking fron it:joy::joy:

I don’t play for rating, just for conquest, and swap chars when capped and there isn’t anything else to do (I prioritize PvE/Delves until everyone is ilvl 606+).
It’s a much more stress free experience.

Seeing all these posts about the broken rating system is really disheartening.
Here’s hoping Blizzard will fix your rating issues.

All the people saying they lose 0 is because you played first week when mmr was bugged. Everyone’s mmr was sky high like 2800. So now everyone from first week is super inflated to the point where no one can catch them anymore. There is a rogue at 2900. If he never plays again, no one will ever pass him.
