I watched a comparison video and the soar ability looks so⌠lame. It looks so slow and uninspired now.
The pre-nerf videos look so fun and then the post-nerf one literally looks like the most boring unejoyable thing theyve ever done.
Id rather walk naked through the maw collecting 300 souls than use the new Soar

Speaking of seer, they nerfed cooking. Meat can no longer be seared as that creates an efficiency advantage over raw meat. Bone appleteeth.
People are raging because they canât go 3 times faster than a regular mount. They want to speedrun the content in 3 seconds then go to the forums to complain that they have nothing to do but jerk themselves off because they did it all in such short time.
People need to grow up and learn to NOT speedrun things in 2 days flat.
Edit: Not to mention 640% is makes the racial the best movement ability in the game. I wouldnât complain when you can potentially soar in a dungeon, get to the trash before everyone else and die in record time.
Speedrun what content? Speedrun flying from Firelands to Onyxia? You canât use Soar in instances, itâs purely for world travel.
Right here, getting from point A to point B 3 times faster than epic mounts is equivalent to speed running content, just wait until the expansion comes out and you see every dracthyr soaring to content and dinging to the new max level to only complain that they have nothing to do without realizing that they shouldnât speedrun the game.
Edit: Speedrunning new content is the reason why we get new crappy content to begin with, Blizzard has to create new content in a quick manner to maintain those who effectively destroyed their own experiences.
Well then we better get rid of the dark iron mole machine, vulpera camp, and mage portals too, theyâre all way faster than Soar.
Do you know what all those have in common? Theyâre set destinations, dark iron dwarves need to find the machines, vulpera can set up camp anywhere and return to it and mage portals are all set destinations. Soar on the other hand can and will ruin the experiences of every single player who plays the race because they hit the non existent end game content faster assuming they donât restrict the ability akin to obtaining flight via time gated achievements.
Edit: This is most likely a reason for the nerf to begin with, they do not want people hitting end game faster than they should.
and the reason was funny if that was so why was the worgen and druids not hit with it in the maw.
they had an unfair advantage did they not when the maw was out with no mounts
