I haven’t done any Mythic 0s yet this week since I’ve been busy with real life stuff, but I did have a chance to log in and do some of the new area quests. Something I noticed right away were the changes that were made. Not having abom limb and having a 15 second cooldown on grips made the already slow blood spec feel even worse. Part of the flavor of blood was being a slow moving class that brings its targets to you. Remember leveling and you were missing really important abilities of your spec deep in the spec tree? Remember what it feels like going into dungeons without those things and trying to find ways to get aggro or do something class related thats really important that you havent unlocked yet? Thats what it feels like now… fully spec’ed out, and that sucks.
I don’t know how its going to work in mythic keys. Before this patch, I would hit abom limb, run through the mobs I needed to pull, hit a cooldown to survive while I gathered, gripped any casters that got gripped in transition by abom limb, and then start my rotation with dnd and some blood boils to ensure I have aggro on everything. Now I either have to use valuable globals on trying to manually get threat while gathering, and when I manage to get them gathered im still sitting on some abilities being on CD while I maintain threat. I guess I just run through mobs now and tell my party not to heal or dps until 10 seconds into the pull?
All for what? We didn’t even sniff being a meta tank last season, we weren’t even part of the conversation for the 2nd or 3rd tier. We hit a wall faster than than any other tank (well maybe Brewmaster could argue against this) with key scaling, and now the you guys just ripped the class flavor out of the spec because… why? Maybe this post was me just putting clown makeup on, but as someone who mained aug last expansion, this kind of thing sucks.
