The Slime Cat Controversy: The Solutions

Just because they cant commit 2-3 hours of uninterrupted play time doesn’t mean that. A sizable chunk of them can do M+ 20’s and Mage Towers with ease. But because of IRL factors (be it a baby, child, etc) they can only play for an hour or so straight then need to take a break for said IRL situation.

Let me repeat myself: Then maybe this just isn’t the genre of video game for them.

The problem people are going to quickly run into and realize is that if you don’t get the cat within the time it takes for people to get the 3 dinar coins, your odds of finding a pug (let alone a pug capable of clearing) are going to plummet harder than your odds are now.

Right now, there is every incentive for people to be in there and doing the runs for the mount and for their coins. Heroic-capable raiders who may not be capable of full clearing the raid will still get their kills in normal to keep pace with the quest but once the mount is had by the first wave of folks and folks finish their coins, the need to be in the fated raid will be gone for most leaving just the riff raff behind.

Absolutely 100% the mount should have been obtainable via LFR but harping on it and stomping your feet isn’t likely to actually get you any results. Suck it up or accept the opportunity will pass you by and you won’t get it. FOMO sucks, but it’s clearly the path Blizzard has and will continue to operate on.

Yet you ignore the part I said before, they can do M+20 keys without issue and do Mage Towers without issue. The game is for them. I know people who are in that situation. They do a M+20 then after go back to IRL stuff and a bit later do another. Some with the same situation but are over 2200 rating in rated PvP.

They simply can’t allot the time needed for raid for uninterrupted 2-3 hours it would take to fully clear normal with a guild group. If you’re pugging double that time.

So you are saying someone who can do M+20’s or get high rating in PvP but cant commit time to organized raiding that the game isn’t for them??? How narrow minded and pathetic you are.

You sir are a pathetic troll and it shows, and give the Dalaran server a bad name (I play horde on Dlaran).

Right, anyone with a differing opinion must be a troll, it’s the only explanation because no one can possibly have a different opinion than you because you’re always correct.

No, you are a troll because you are clearly ignoring parts of my argument.

I may disagree with some of what Galabris said on this point, but he is not a troll and I respect his opinion.

You on the otherhand are purposely taking and ignoring context of what I had written before or after and simply saying “The Game isn’t for them” simply because they cannot commit to organized raiding even though these people can do High Keystones and High Ranked PvP.

There is more to end game than just raiding. And you seem to be actively dissuading people from the game.

I’m ignoring that part of your post because it’s irrelevant to the point I’m making and isn’t a valid response to what I’m saying. It also doesn’t make sense because both of those activities are far more of a time sink than clearing normal Nathria once.

Castle Nathria in one sitting you are looking at 2 to 3 hours in a guild and likely 4-5 pugging. Doing a M+20 in time is probably going to take you at most the alloted time -1 second and a few minutes to form a group (less if you have guildies who also do high keystones).

A person who can’t commit to 2-3 (likely far longer if a pug group) hours of time for a raid can commit to an hour to do a M+. And for PvP you don’t need to grind games all in one sitting. You can do a few matches for 30 mins and take a break for IRL stuff.

Yes constantly doing M+ back to back is a larger time sink than CN but you can do a single M+20 in 30 mins while CN normal can take alot longer. Same with arena with each match lasting a few minutes.

That is why A person can say commit 45 mins to do a M+20 (for forming and clearing) but can’t commit 2-3 hours for raiding because of IRL factors.

This is why LFR has always been appealing for these types of people for the story because each wing takes only 40 mins.
