The skyriding change is horrible revert it immediately

This will make skyriding less fast for pretty much everyone who uses it except the tiny minority that couldn’t wrap their head around gaining speed to continually refresh charges.

It’s also harder to see little charge numbers on each ability than it is to simply see the charges in the middle of the screen.

Awful, awful change. You should be borderline ashamed for even thinking it was something that needed to be changed.

People begged for Vigor to be removed.

We told them it would be Monkeys Pawed.

And here we are.

So what exactly is it doing now and how badly do the charges affect things?

Uplift and dash on shared six charges with a set ten second cooldown.
I don’t think I need to explain to anyone how that will slow things down.

the current system works fine, no idea why blizzard thinks it needs to be changed.

Think the reality is they realized that flight speeds being what they were limited design space, so I think the slow down is intended.

Unfortunately dragonriding was kinda fun to the full removal of it would be met with intense backlash akin to the pathfinding achievements of old that were implemented (successfully) to combat how flying itself limits design space.

Hard to put the cat back in the bag.

Ten seconds?! That’s TWICE as long as it takes to recharge a Vigor while flying!

FFS… :woman_facepalming:t4:

Because enough people stupidly whined that Vigor is bad.

To argue that dragonriding limited design space is just incorrect. Any issue dragonriding caused was also caused by base level flight, it just made flying fun.

I’m not saying that isn’t blizzard’s thinking on this, because Blizzard has made the game worse due to stupid, dumb ideas they’ve had about their own game in the past. But I’m going to head that argument off now and say it’s a dumb argument and the changes need to be reverted ASAP.

They’ll change the flying speed?

Ugh. Currently once I’m moving fast, I can recharge a vigor in the time it takes an Uplift to complete!

I am arguing that flight limits design space. Faster flight limits it further, I think, and I agree that dragonriding did make flying fun. And fast.

I think the change facilitates it remaining ostensibly fun while also removing some fast.

For me, I think fast was part of the fun and I can see myself going back to steady flight if dragonriding isnt significantly faster.

Which surely can’t be the intended design lol

I have zero issues with recharging vigor and maintaining flight at all times. I think this change is detrimental and will only serve to slow us down, not every single aspect of WoW has or needs to be simplified.

I’ll have to experience the changes myself firsthand before I fully knock it, but from what I’ve seen, I don’t like them.

how on Azeroth is this topic, of all topics necroed, not one of them?

That sounds awful. I like the way it works now.

This is a perfect example of the “give and take” system employed by the devs.

they take away vigor requirement and add something just as bad if not worse.

if I had to guess, it is either the first or the second of the mission statement “rules”

Just read the notes, I don’t think it’ll be that bad

It does not. It expands design space.

Yep. We call it the Monkeys Paw.

It currently takes five seconds to recharge a Vigor while flying. Now it will take twice as long.

Don’t worry. I’m sure you can just make a weak aura… Crap. Nevermind. My bad.
