The Sim guy put out TAJ sim correction and DPS projections for ICC/RS

Here is the Vid with timestamp to the graph. To watch about TAJ, just watch from the beginning.

TLDR - TAJ awesome and DBW is MUCH worse for TAJ.

Looking at post-RS release.
#1 Feral at 17,350
#2 Fire Mage at null.
#3 FURY WARRIOR at 16,850
#4 MM at 16,850
#5 Ret at 16,750 (with TAJ update)

so yeah. If we are to pretend Sims are +/- 10% accurate, the balance is actually kinda great.

These numbers have changed slightly since this video was posted
Warriors gained DPS from a slam optimization and are better in P4 than before
And lots of other minor adjustments to various classes

I also added a row for DSAC Ret.

The link to the full sheet is in the description there, or here

or see the image here (this is 180s)

But I would agree, the balance is looks solid, outside of some stinkers at the bottom (buff arms)

Fire Mage has also passed Feral Druid on 120s and 180s.
Hunter 300s and Sin Rogue sims need to be updated (I’m expecting them to be relatively minor changes) and of course Mage p5, probably will be later today or tomorrow.

Also, these are just sims, they are wrong like, all the time. People put way too much stock into what they say.

Has anyone figured out what’s wrong with the Rogue sims? It’s sort of hard to believe they are simming at the bottom of the barrel…

The other specs have caught up basically.

Rogues performed incredibly well on private servers, and Combat was expected to be S-Tier in ICC. There’s not really any reason they should be simming so much lower. It’s just weird. I can pretty much guarantee somethings wrong, but not sure what.

Private servers have not been right about much.

Private servers have generally been an excellent indicator. Also, Combat rogues are one of those specs like fury warriors that always seem to get better.

Anyway, I don’t really think you have much to offer. Going to wait and see if Surv has any idea.

Warriors have scaled well, but nowhere near as well as pservers predicted (just as well too as they would have been OP).

Also, ask any druid or ret how good pservers predictions were. Or Hinder for that matter.

Classic is a very different implementation to pservers.

What are you talking about?

According to private servers, Ret was going to be meh in Naxx (true), horrible in Ulduar (true), semi-decent in ToC because of cleave fights and new tier set/libram (true), and are expected to be great in ICC because of final tier set and mourne.

And Ferals were either going to be S-Tier or B-Tier depending on whether the coding for OOC Procs was correct.

Literally, the two specs you stated were like perfect examples of private server coding being pretty on-point. Now, of course, Blizzard made some changes to those classes, which few could have expected, but no changes have been made to rogues really, so it’s pretty strange they are now expected to be so much lower.

Anyway, that was too much of my time to respond to a pretty stupid statement. Later.

They got a buff in order to match that pservers prediction.

See previous response.

true that, also with blizzard certain changes specially to Shadowmourne! ret-warr-dk’s will trash Rogues.

Yeah, I haven’t found a good explanation for it yet. Can’t seem to optimize the sim further with anything I or the other rogues try. Not sure if the sim is just wrong (which isn’t super uncommon) or what. Still need to update Assassination but I don’t expect it to move much.

Appreciate you, and all your work. Maybe I can take a few stabs at it later when I’m back home.

Also, love the guides. Keep it up <3

I am actually expecting Combat to perform better than the Sims suggest.

But I don’t think the Sim is off. I think some of the other class Sims are overinflated. So, it looks bad by comparison.

I’d be surprised if Combat don’t make the top 6.

Without the buffs Ret and Feral would be more in line with Combat and Marks. But with the buff it pushes them further up the chain than was the case originally as well.

the sim show how the class can output with certain gear but on reality the classes can perform based on many factors during the fight such as how you’re aiming to kill the boss/tactic/roster/speed.
take this for example…
https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/L2NPDbnJQGKFCm9V#type=damage-done&fight=41

& ofc icc buff will have huge impact on certain classes once it reach 30%

Fantastic point. The 30% will play a huge part.

Is the rogue sim properly showing slice and dice uptime? I know that was huge for rogues before. Idk about for wotlk though, as i don’t play rogue.

Won’t the 30% buff just globally increase everyone’s damage by…30%?

How will it affect different specs differently?

Some specs get 50% more damage from a 30% buff? Some only get 10% more damage from a 30% buff?

so now that sims show Fury ahead of Ret will they stop complaining? or will they move onto complaining about how Fire and Feral are still above them?
