Just wait though, at 40 we’re gonna get nerfed if we’re even top 5. I can feel it in my bones.

It’s alright. Instead of crying like a hunter, I’m just gonna chill in AB and enjoy turning low hp mages into smoking craters with elemental fury charged, overloaded meatballs.
At least I got my meatballs.
i wonder where meatballs will fit into the 3 min 1 shot spec ele will have and if they will even allow it without putting a 30% damage nerf on the bgs or something.
I guess the devs have been pretty consistent with shaman hate over the years. Why change now.
I’m always surprised to hear other people aren’t enjoying SoD shaman a LOT. Ele isn’t where I’d like it to be yet but tank is great and enhance is serviceable, all three are likely to be much more rewarding in P2
I would enjoy a shaman better if it was a dwarf…

Ele talents don’t come online till 40 and everyone leveled as Enh until then, all of us mains know that much. I feel like DW tank Shaman is going to remain relevant for bosses because it’s simply uncontested in threat and Parry+Mail will make them less dependent on shields. Shield Shaman tanks will probably build hybrid ele for better casting.
Enh dps is in a troubled spot however, unless they get a rune of Mental Quickness for Attack Power to Spell Damage and Healing conversion we’re simply not going to keep up with other melee because… Half of the buttons we press in our rotation are shocks which scale with Spell Damage.
Elemental is definitely looking like it could be op next phase…so I’m sure it will get nerfed almost immediately.
I’m less worried about balancing though and more interested in getting a powerful unique buff to make up for the loss of WF totem. Bloodlust would do it but there is absolutely no way they would give us that without also giving it to the alliance babies. To be fair it’s hard to imagine we get anything that isn’t also given to the alliance.
A rune that lets one of our totems give out an overload type buff would be a good start. But again…they would probably just give it to oomies as well.
I feel like shaman has always been so mediocre that I have that same attitude about ele being good next phase lol. I know the power the spec has but why do I still feel like it’ll somehow fall flat or get nerfed?

Anyway, 40 is gonna be awesome. Mail armor, ele nukes, resto chain heal…
Im content having my shaman tank bfd every 3 days till then.
