I am not sure if I am in the right place to ask for help on this quest, but here goes. I am a Fire Mage, and I have not figured out how to kill " Blightgut" , I have been on this quest for 2 days now and I just keep getting killed. I’ve tried everything I know to do, and I still end up dead.
Does anyone have any ideas how a FM can defeat him?
I have not seen any NPC’s other than Arthas and Anastern Quel’thalas if that’s his name, and they are fighting each other, they don’t help me with the fight against blightgut.
i have given up on seeing the bloodelf heritage armor. my demon hunter can’t kill that bile spewing monster. i can’t even figure out what it has to do with the king’s death at the hands of arthas or the destruction of the sunwell.
also note the tauren heritage armor is even more frustrating.
I’m glad I saw this warning about the Tauren armor now.
I just leveled my BE Demon Hunter from the mid 40s to 50 with primarily exploration experience. That was a big mistake as I am getting annihilated by Blightgut. I even have one slot with cloth gear because the gear that was there prior to the expansion patch was bugged out after the patch and unusable.
More tedium is needed just to have a chance to win the fight and earn a cosmetic armor set. Apologies to the artist who designed the armor set. It’s no longer worth my time and energy to earn.
Cosmetics are never a worthwhile reword for beating your head against a wall.
Currently still experiencing this issue. Level 51 fury warrior, completely spanked in seconds. Can’t even get him down by 10%
I had a similar experience with a 60 Paladin - geared with blues and greens from questing. If you stand and fight, you die was what happened to me because once the fight starts he will shoot out very damaging toxic sludge. If you stand in the sludge, your health will drop outrageously. What worked for me was to keep moving and kite him around and stay out of the sludge. It took me a while to deal enough damage but I was able to do that and stay alive - this felt like an elite NPC fight. (The graveyard is a long way if you die!) Good luck!
