The selfishness/ narcissism in Battlegrounds

I would rather have zero kills and win as opposed to 50 kills and lose.

Battlegrounds is a TEAM event and I routinely see players with 20-50 kills in a losing effort and can’t help to ask myself “Had they stood a flag and provided some defense, would the ending result been different?”
The answer is YES.
Players more often spend more time pursuing their own personal kill counts rather then adhering to the objectives of the battleground.
So you scored 55 kills with your little pocket healer while wielding your gimmick weapon (MoM) and yet your team lost?
I find this incredibly embarrassing on your behalf.
If you had stood a flag and provided some defense you would have gotten much less kills but your team would have won.
I don’t care how great of a killer you are when you repeatedly abandon objectives to pursue that kill count. Be a better teammate.

(Points to the scoreboard)
But you lost? All those kills meant nothing.

We might be reported for afk for defending and then account suspension. Can’t take that risk.

Sure play the objective. But the enemies aren’t attacking your objective if one of your teammates is dropping a 50 bomb. Your whole team should be pushing for a 4/5cap of the enemy team is being spanked that hard.

People still do BGs in SoD?

Aside from the nerfs they had a while back to damage and damage taken, I just can’t really see folks enjoying it without being either shamans, boomies or pallies.

I forgot about that too. I enjoy the game way too much to get banned simply for doing objectives and not mind numbingly fighting on the roads to pad meters.

If shaman, boomies and pallys are enjoying themselves, hunters are giggling like schoolgirls.
