According to the patchnotes, starting on the 17th, to fix visual issues the characters will no longer hold the selfie camera.
This turns the selfie camera into… just a screenshot.

Please don’t destroy the selfie camera. 
Fix it properly instead.
Considering the selfie camera was the main content in WoD, I think it deserves a proper fix.
Zoom in front of your character and type /point. Selfie! 
I don’t even see a point to “fixing” it like this. It’s still better with the visual bug, since you already have the ability to do the “fix” by just Alt+Z’ing your UI and hitting print screen.
Maybe the true Warlords of Draenor were all the selfies we left behind…
I have like >3000 of them… 
I would be extremely sad if they ruin the selfie cam like that
Hrm…if they must make the change at this time due to technical reasons I’m okay with that as long a we extract a cast iron promise to return this to it’s intended functionality ASAP.

Why would you prefer the arm up? I think the 2nd photo looks better.
Or better yet, why not just have the option to disable the hand holding the camera? Heck why not put more options like FoV, Zoom, Pan, Angle shots, Arm/Head position/rotation, etc?
Because we can do that already, no selfie cam required. The selfie cam was something DIFFERENT from a normal screenshot…and at least on my male Pandaren, there was a lot of grinning and nodding and general goofiness involved in taking a selfie.
Oh yeah, I do remember the unique facial expressions. So that part is going away as well?
