The saddest thing about kyrian owls

It’s not even that they’re slaves, they seem to be happy with that.

But they really want to fly (click on them, do side quest with kowalskos), everyone around them are flying. They’d probably would do their job better if they could fly. And they can’t

I’m assuming because they have hands at the ends of their stubby wing-arms so they can do work, and are too heavy (being muscular so they can…you know, do work) for their stubby wings to lift them off the ground. Of course, you’d think in a universe of magic that wouldn’t matter.

But according to their masters they love being slaves and wouldn’t be happy if they weren’t. :smirk:

ofc they would say that, it’s free labor

Bah, they are souless automatons created for the sole purpose of making their master’s life easier. Do you worry about your dishwasher’s secret dreams of flight?

10,000 years without a new aspirant, and they were more than happy to make us do the heavy labor sweeping floors and hitting bells

Well dishwashers don’t have wings while owls do. I don’t worry about my dishwasher’s dream to be a car wash though.

I don’t care that much for owl people.

It’s because of Cedric the Owl from King’s Quest V.

" GRAHAM WATCH OUT A POISONOUS SNAKE!"

Mmhm… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Slavery/Freedom is a men made thing, your dog is not your slave but it serves you for free if you tread it right.

Nothing sad about it if both parties are happy in the end.

Please stop creating drama.

The owls represent us, the players.

We toil away at menial tasks.

The “kyrian” tell themselves that we enjoy it. That we become sad if we dont have chores to do.

I don’t consider the owl guys fully sentient. I consider them extensions of the plane of Bastion’s purpose/sentience.

They are the best slaves ever then. Always protected, well respected(forgelite prime) and I’m pretty sure they are never forced to do actual work.

They enjoy doing it sure, but is it wrong to just love working?

The owl from Ocarina of Time turned me off owls in general for awhile. Not gonna lie.

Spend 7 minutes mashing A only to have to do it again because it defaults to no instead of yes when he asks if you understand everything he said.

The saddest part is how I can’t get one as a battle pet, mount, or moonkin form.
