You won’t be seeing so much of the Gnome active on GD anymore, sadly. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had some comments flagged (one of which was overruled) and frankly I’m over it.
Anyone familiar with my work here will know I am a pretty innocuous person so far as my input. I try to be lighthearted and humorous and only get serious now and then when I touch on serious topics. But I’m going through a bit of a rough patch atm and any extra stress is not a good thing.
So…You will see very little of me from now on. I might
a few things I like maybe give a
for good words or say the occasional “nice” etc. But I guess those who like to flag can be content to silence an opinion once again.
I’ve had great interactions with many of you, shared thoughts, argued, come to understandings and helped and been helped many times. I’ll still be reading to see how you are motoring, so stay cool and WoW on.

You’re catching on. I learned that lesson after 3 billion bans myself.
Welcome to the club.
P.s: If someone says “we’re just talking” no they’re not, run for your life.

I wish you well, Kneeshooter. It’s important to take a break from whatever it is you are doing from time to time and take care of your own wellbeing. You and I have never really spoke much but you seem like a nice gnome to know. Who would flag a nice innocuous gnome like you?

If I’m being honest, I think everyone should take a break from the forums.
As fun as banter is, I generally think it’s overall a negative for mental health. Just like any social media, really.
Arguments are like 75% of what goes on here.
And, let’s be honest, was anyone’s mind really changed over an internet post, here? Will someone admit they were wrong? Lol no, because that’s not what humans do, we have egos.
When you’re trying to convince someone they’re wrong, it’s those in the ‘wrong’ that have you in their control, because you’re giving them the attention.
But, people are have at it anyway, we can’t help ourselves. Our opinions, they must be heard!
Just don’t take it too seriously, I never do.

Sad side of flagging. Sagging. Or Slagging?
Hrm. Maybe some words should not be fused together.

I did the exact opposite. After losing my TL3 last time, I realized I don’t really have anything to lose, so I just send it…well, I do try to still be polite. But either way, I don’t have much else to lose on the forums.

Sometimes if someone even reports your post once and a thread is 404ed it will pop up
a green notification.
It’s weird system stuff.

Yup, that happened to me last week. I had multiple posts removed by moderators in a 404’d thread.
I didn’t get a suspension or anything, but it was wierd.

The system is way too weird when that happens. Like, if the thread is taken action on, then shouldn’t be green notifications long after the thread has had action taken against.

Don’t let them get to you. And you’re not silenced until a mod does so. Which, in your case, will never happen. I’ve had so much stuff flagged just out of spite for being me that I ignore it all. People can still read what’s there. Mods do vacation for false flagging, too.

Eh, getting comments flagged here and there is fairly normal if you happen to dabble in this forum, it’s no big deal really
I imagine it’s happened to most of us, except maybe MVP/greens - I don’t think I’ve ever seen one “flagged by the community” so I assume they must have some kind of built-in “immunity” to flags as part of their perks
Even when that “Metrohaha” guy was active as an MVP on here - and that guy was widely disliked by GD’ers - I don’t remember him ever being flagged
It’s just the nature of the internet to deal with false flags/downvotes once in a while, not really a big deal like I said. Whenever you post somewhere trafficked by the general public, some people will like what you post and some people won’t

Whatever happened to him? I haven’t seen him around in a very long time.
I hope things get better fast for you. I always liked your posts, you are interesting.
Be well and have fun.

im not gonna lie. maybe you good poster. but everytime i see you post its just to spam post the “this is what the mute button was created for” line. I see you post something thats not that a couple times you seem ok. I mean i not ever flag it but…I mean you do sort of spam that line quite a bit. hope you have happy trails.

Oh he got flagged. I remember when he got all condescending at someone once and GD threw a fit and flagged him into oblivion. lol
He got kicked off of MvP for his trashing of GD and specific people here, iirc.

I had a nice vacation over the weekend since Blizzard didn’t like me bad-mouthing their Public Relations stunt.
absolutely.
some people are perfect examples of how not to behave.
I’m always happy to admit to being wrong.
I’m not so egotistical that I think I know everything.
Being wrong just means I learned a thing.
it should never have been allowed to carry on for as long as it did.
this was such a bad look.
