The s2 tier sets look like they were designed during lunchbreak

Every single one of the DPS sets is ability x gives you stacks of Y and using ability Z might reset those stacks.

It looks something the intern came up with using chat gpt during lunch one day so that would still get college credit despite the fact they have been playing fortnite or whatever the 20 somethings play on their phones these days the whole time, and never bothered to learn anything at all about their project.

If I give you 30 minutes can you draw me a new set?

Set bonuses are usually pretty similar.

Look at the Nerubar set bonuses. The vast majority of them are just “X increase to Y ability” and “Conditional increase to Z ability”.

You’re only really noticing because Blizzard wanted to have them thematically similar instead of chucking a bunch of synonyms together to get vaguely class-themed spell effect names.

First set each expansion is supposed to be lame, or not exist at all. 2nd tier onwards is supposed to be where we get the first interesting trinkets and set bonuses. It’s always been this way.

I guarantee you, nobody would have thought about the similarity between a Mage, Boomkin, Ele and Warlock set bonus if Blizzard didn’t use the Jackpot keyword for them all.

Healer 2p people would have noticed, Tank 2p maybe.

Absolutely not the DPS ones though.

I don’t care about the abilities, but the appearances look pretty boring, really middle of the road takes all around. Come on, when else are we going to be raiding a goblin fortress casino? There should be tuxes, slinky dresses, fur trim, ridiculous Run DMC bling, every sequin the engine can handle… it shouldn’t look like designs that were rejected for yet another dragon lair.

IMO, I’m of the opposite opinion. I think that ideally you’d merge the raid and set theme together, but I would much rather wear armour that goes for class fantasy than one which completely ignores it.

IMO that was one of the larger problems with Azerite Gear is that you didn’t look like anything. Like the Mythic Plate set from Dazaralor was cool! Looked stupid as hell if you were a Paladin though.

And if Blizzard nail the Mythic spell-effects half as well as they nailed the Warlock tier set effect, some of these sets are going to be insanely cracked. Even without spell effects, the Monk set is by far the coolest one they’ve ever gotten.

FTFY

Then mog it to literally one of the dozens of other tier or PvP sets out there. “Class fantasy” is a poor excuse for giving us the same raid sets over and over again.

It doesn’t look like a Hunter set. Honestly if I had to guess I think this is an unused DK set that was drawn up but never used in a previous expansion. Skulls & sh*t? It doesn’t even fit the theme of where the game is right now. It’s a set they had laying around that never got used now it’s being thrust on Hunters even tho it doesn’t fit the theme of the class or the theme of this expansion.

Design wise they’re all kind of off. Other than Warlock, Monk and Death Knight it’s not super obvious what any of these are supposed to be.

Oh the crystal gremlin thing is a mage. I see, I see. Interesting. They’re not on theme with the classes, and not on theme with the raid. So what am I even looking at here?.

And that data mined season 2 tier sets look really uninteresting. That’s the entire topic right now

what does this have to do with anything?

did you read the OP at all?

Yeah I did. Did you understand what I wrote?

Yes I did.

Draw?

The whole post was about the item effects, not the appearance. Also chatgpt not midjourney.

Reading comprehension is hard, maybe you should get accelerated reader.

Dragonflight got a lot wrong, but at least they had good Priest tier!

Wow, your insults sound like an intern with no idea what his assignment was, wrote them.

The Rogue set is a metaphorical comparable factor to the Diablo Immortal “You guys have phones, right?” meme.

Is this an out of season April Fools joke? Because… Sweet Christmas that’s horrible. I can’t believe someone actually got paid to make that.

30 minute lunch breaks are for low level workers. You’ll need to give me an hour.
