Or his old ones, though I can still think of no scenario where he’d be without his clothes that doesn’t either make the Primus a massive weirdo or his possible captor not a real creep …
It’s not like he was missing his pants and shirt. He was missing his staff, bracers, mantle, and shoulders. None of which would leave him nude.
That’s true, though the second I have to find his toga I’m outta here XD…
Optimus is the one and only true Primus…
A few good theories there.
However, the Runecarver is the primus.
- He is a master crafter of extremely powerful armor and weapons. The runecarver just so happens to have the ability to make legendary quality armor for us. Coincidence? Methinks not.
- The Necrolords are basically the military arm of the shadowlands. Capturing their leader and throwing the 5 houses in disarray seems like a good move for an eventual invasion.
The armor that we recover and adorn the statue with are pieces crafted by the primus himself. Those are essentially “holy relics” to the necrolords, and thus would not want them to be in the hands of hostile forces
While i definitely agree that The Runecarver is NOT The Primus (too many physical differences between the statue and the carver) I’m not sure that’s he’s necessarily the statue. If anything the statue is magically imbued with voice lines making it seem like it has the ability to speak.
In whatever case I don’t think anyone knows where the real Primus is. It would be interesting if this gets explained more as the campaign continues, maybe it could have something within the next raid? Time will tell.
The Primus likely hid his key. Remember he’s the super giga-brain future-telling warrior strategist dude. That’s why the Jailer is extracting the Primus/Runecarver’s memories. It’s so that he can find the key.
Here’s the crackpot theory though, there’s two ways this can go. The Primus hid his key in Korthia, or the Primus hid his key in Draka, as she is repeatedly referred to as “the key.”
Regardless, it’s practically confirmed at this point that the Primus is the Runecarver. Quick reasons why…
- Same Voice Actor
- Both are skilled in Domination Magic. The only people we know capable of doing so.
- Both missing and captured at similar times
- Frostmourne is capable of Necromantic abilities, a type of magic originating from Maldraxxus.
Only two people the Runecarver could really be: The Primus…or the original Jailer and possibly the figure we see in promotional art, though if it’s not the current Jailer it’d be weird for Sylvanas to be associated with the old chained Jailer (unless in a plot twist old Jailer reclaims his realm from Zovaal).
Be careful with those. Wouldn’t want to lose a finger! Could you imagine going through life with only four fingers?
-Rayla (who is an elf, and thus has four fingers)
All I know, is that the Primus sucks.
Counter counter point, he broke the 4th wall and started his own band.
The Primus is the Runecarver.
You are the Primus. You are the Primus. Everybody is the Primus!
What if the Primus is Maldraxxis? And he uses the statue as his avatar?
Its actually Sylvanas hiding in plain site, the Primus wanted a change and set forth on his change which he also secretly made the jailer think he wanted to change everything as well. Events that have been going on thousands of years.
Heirmir was apprentice to the Primus, and is able to thy soul anchor to thine armor for a short time after thy death.
The Primus, if not the statue itself, may be the armor thereupon, and considering Zovaal yet requires three keys to attain his goal, keys which we know can be wrenched from the Eternal’s physical manifestations, 'twould make only too much sense that one renown for their tactical forethought and capable of aforementioned magics would bar their foe thus from their goal.
For the Runecarver, I think him the actual Jailer and Zovaal, or whatever he may be named, is the original charge of the Maw. He is covered in runes, after all, and is not endowed with the knowledge thereof as the Runecarver is, whence came the designs for Frostmourne and the Helm of Domination.
It’s a mask. If you look at the giant robed skeleton above the seat of the primus, he has a normal skeleton face. That would be the primus without his mask.
I am the Walrus.
Wouldn’t it be funny if they made a giant transformers reference by having the Primus really just be Maldraxxus as a living zone and everybody’s just running around his back?
Wouldn’t he actually have to be the leader of the Autobots?
