The "RP" Half of This MMORPG is Dead

“He must be a troll; at least four people in the world of over seven billion said so!”

That part really did age badly. I think they took Un’Goro Crater being the Nintendo zone being received well by players to heart too much and decided to make way more zones like that, without realizing that Un’Goro worked because Vanilla zones generally weren’t as heavyhanded with references.

The leveling quests there don’t even acknowledge the storm, you have to wait until Children’s Day to see any quests relating to it. And nope, it’s still there along with the giant pointless hole, and Sentinel Hill is still burning despite Stoutmantle’s promises that he’d call you back later.

I do remember that. Westfall I completed on my Worgen, I was planning to just try and follow the old world stories as best I could with Chromie Time to level up. I thought doing other zone stories would call me back to Westfall.

But nothing.

Quite a few of these things are of concern to non role players as well.

  • Transmog should be free for everyone and most, if not all, restrictions should be removed.
  • Shorter cooldowns on toys would be great.
  • More forms for druids and shamans would be nice. I wouldn’t mind doing a quest line for them.
  • We should be able to “learn” other races’ languages by now, without the need for elixirs.
  • Timeline is a mess - I wish they could/would do changes to time line based on your level and/or quests you’ve done so that it’s more uniform. The bronze dragons can be annoying, especially around holidays. Bringing all zones to present day with things fixed would be nice as well.
  • More evergreen content is definitely needed and player housing would be nice.

And I saw a holiday mentioned which raises the question:
When the heck are they going to start adding content to the major holidays?
And I don’t mean a new toy or pet every few years. There should be new quests, new orphans, new something relevant every year for each holiday.

Canonically you’re not even playing a werewolf. The only fantasy races in WoW are Elves and Goblins imo.

Not everyone on a RP realm does this and I know many on Moon Guard that despise ppl’s behavior at Goldshire. I like to hang out there sometimes bc I get laughs sometimes.

I love how he deleted his post but we can still see what it was in someone’s reply. It’s really not cool to think we do things that others do just because they’re roleplayers as well.

and then there’s Gilneas where you need to play Horde to get the second half of the story, and the zone itself is just abandoned ever since.

I saw this guy in another thread; not the smartest tool in the shed, but definitely a tool.

I didn’t even know that, I never play Horde, but for lore reasons it makes sense. As Alliance I’m not gonna see the perspective of a war on the Horde’s side.

It would be nice for it to be a community to hang out in, but I presume Blizzard wants something really necessary for it?

Still here trying to characterize me for others based on your hurt feelings or something?

I’m pretty sure they can just go into my activity feed and judge for themselves without you holding a giant sign on the street.

It’s not even entirely just seeing it from the Horde’s side. There’s more story to the Worgen who remained behind as well. Granted, it’s not much before the whole storyline is just abandoned.

Gilneas City itself could be another hub(give the Horde something to keep it evened out), and the surrounding area would work well with a form of player housing/garrisons.

I think it’d be a fantastic use of the old zones, and it’d be content that is forever relevant as long as it’s heavily cosmetic based rather than some expansion specific system like they did in WoD.

There’s a lot of areas you could give to players to be purchasable land for garrisons like rebuilding Durnholde Keep, Alterac Ruins, etc. or smaller areas to have just a house.

It isn’t really your opinion, but rather, your pre-emptive defense. You are a nerd who plays WoW, so you punch down at the nerdier nerds on the RP servers.

Oh no, you think I’m talking about you? Believe it or not, I wasn’t. Try reading the reply I responded to.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:
Wat.

Yeah, I dunno. I’ve also been having some sort of non-Human apparently pester and desperately try to defame me with lies for the past 5 hours. I call every sadist that.

So i can’t Private RP anymore with my friends because i somehow hurt the future of Role-playing, despite the fact were are having fun with it? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Look, i don’t know where you’re getting your sources from, but i’m quite sure… like 99% sure, that nobody ever went up to somebody who is just Private RPing and accused them of doing harm for not publicly RPing. Not even on RP servers.

This character is literally Human.

You did that yourself, I just pointed it out - like this example:

Unless you are admitting that Decration and Americaninja are the same player…

This guy complained about RPers not following the story and then someone else complained about us boringly following the story all the time after and that we should just make up our own things.

I mean… we do both… both publicly and privately. Also I would advise to just flag and move on from kiofea. Troll. I have them on ignore.

I’m going to need examples, though you selectively respond to me after taking multiple “L’s” today so I don’t expect a reply.

To be honest, i think at that point, it’s would just be best to ignore people when their giving you contradicting answers like that, and you just do you.

…I’l just scroll past. :raised_hand:
