The Ripcord has been pulled!

I will hope against hope and speculate that maybe, just maybe, they were actually self-aware enough for once to recognize that this is indeed a low point for the franchise.

Ya gotta pull a ripcord BEFORE you hit the ground.

Picturing a comic strip where: 1) Parachute Guy jumps out of the plane, 2) stormy weather on the way down, 3) pulls the ripcord at 500 ft. The last comic box 4) is empty except for WoW 9.1.5 written in small text. Too bad my art skills suck. lol

Oh please, they have nothing to fear from a niche isometric p2w game, Korean games are highly viewed with suspicion for a reason. They often fail for the same reasons as well. It’s New World and FFXIV that they really have to be worried about.

Why are you thanking them? This is clearly damage control for all the people that left. We told them during alpha and beta that all these systems weren’t going to work. Yeah it’s nice they finally listened, but they’ve been repeating this for several expansions now. It’s about time they changed it, but the damage has already been done. Now if only they keep listening, maybe then I’ll give them some kind of pat on the back.

No they usually admit to being wrong when an expansion gets close to being a year old and they start adding these types of things in .

You know stuff like AP catch up and Legendary vendors in Legion or BoA essences and Corruption vendors in BfA.

They are pretty much right on schedule.

except it’s way too late, I (and im sure many others) am over wow, and invested in other games to come back to wow, at least till next expansion

yeah, but you still get timegated by the weekly Maw soul quest. This is not the ripcord, the ripcord that Ion hated was not gating the covenant abilities, not the covenants themselves.

This is becoming just a ploy to keep us subscribed. Whilst I like this small change, it’s not perfect, and not what we asked for since Alpha. If we swapped covenants and the systems/buildings remembered the progress between all of them, it would make more sense. And get rid of that silly Maw soul timegate, that is ripped from a mobile phone game.

Yay the pullcord has been ripped! Covenant mounts and mogs here I come!

If ONLY they had been given this awesome idea earlier…like during Alpha. Or beta.

Better late than never.

It’s a start, but until the AoE cap is reverted it’s still not worth playing.

I think Ion knows this long time ago. He just doesnt want to spoil the big secret.

They did this in BFA before when Corruptions were first introduced as it was a random drop dictated by RNG. But later on, they provided a vendor for Corruptions.

That’s not the “ripcord”. That’s being reasonable and improving the systems that are in place. The ripcord would be abandoning the systems altogether.

Suggests that it was already a present idea in the WoW team if not popular, and was being tamped down by a leader who really didn’t want it- who now find himself in a very precarious position with the playerbase actually leaving.

(Not to mention more of the ‘underling staff’ having power with the shattering of HR.)

One of my theories is that they purposely release a flawed game to do stuff like this where they come in super late to save the day. Still not enough to me and the other players they screwed over might not come back.

I’ve already done too many of the class campaigns on alts, don’t really care about appearances and mounts. Nothing really affects the core issues, speaking of which I wonder what new grind system they’ll introduce in 9.2.

funny how money talks …and thats the only reason they are making changes…people that i know that left are not coming back no matter what they do

God you people are over dramatic

yeah it is weird they do usually wait for the end of the expansion before they do things like this lol. or at least close to the end like last patch. or second to the last patch.
