The Ripcord has been pulled!

Sacrificed for better gameplay.

It wasn’t worth keeping.

So when your wrong you should take nonstop bashing irl cause we all know the forum goers are perfect right? Get over yourself.

I think it’s sad on a RP level too.

What folks can’t see, is that it’s sad for game play as well. Now folks can just pick-to-win for every situation instead of making a choice and then meeting all the challenges that choice engineers.

But folks want easy and the whiny wheel gets the grease!

It could mean “good things” for remaining players in Shadowlands. But Shadowlands 9.0-9.1 was like a left hook to the face then those who weren’t knocked out being given an icepack to relieve the swelling.

Rather not get hit with the left hook in the first place.

Was curious about the response among the streamer-ati. I don’t usually watch live streams but Bellular and his cohort Matt are on live Youtube getting in some digs right now (like the EU version of Asmongold). lol

Wait what?! Everyone and I mean everyone should want someone who is bad at their job to be fired! Are you telling me that people bad at their job should be allowed to keep being bad at their job? Seriously this doesn’t make any sense!! This is the worst take I ever heard in a long time :man_facepalming:

Do you think Doctor’s that are bad at their job, who could potentially hurt other people should keep their job? Or…get fired! Just wow…

Every single person from working at Fast Food to CEO of a company should be fired from their job if they are unfit for it. Obvious is obvious.

Wrong, this game will never be good with Ion at lead. He is bad at his job and I’m not saying that because I dislike him. I am saying that because he got promoted into a position he can’t do. Happens all the time. That is why I offered an olive branch for demotion as well. Since he is a good encounter designer. However it’s likely in the best interest of the game to release Ion.

I cared…

I mean, there are limits to that statement. Should a Warlock be able to class change to a Fire Mage, simply because it’d be better for gameplay?

Honestly, I already made my peace with this early in the expansion, but I enjoyed it while it lasted. It’s like, to me, the Legion Artifacts. We knew those were going to be thrown out as well, but I’m not going to agree that were objectively bad for the game.

To all the shills who have claimed for months the Covenants are fine and the ripcord will never be pulled, IN YOUR FACE.

Imagine now if they listened in beta instead of doing the same thing they did every xpac since Legion?

Bad systems released and then fixed to be inline with the majority of beta suggestions months later is not something you should be thanking them for.

some might say yes. I would say no. but I see class as a very different than than covenant.

covenants were only ever a temporary, one-expansion system.

Of course its the most powerful feedback any player can give.

right? there’s a history here of them doing exactly this

wouldn’t it be nice if they would learn something from this, and actually take feedback from beta into consideration.

This is a good question. Thoughts, anyone? So when it comes to the certain rares that drop cov-specific mounts, will we need to be in that cov CURRENTLY in order to have a chance at that drop? Or will we get some sort of happy check-mark that will allow us to benefit from the drop rate of multiple covs?

my guess is “yes”

One thing I do hope is that they make it so renown levels are set to your highest level you currently have, so that you don’t end up having to make 60+ renown in the new one.

also where’s timbaeslice? I Feel like he deserves to celebrate the pulling of the ripcord.

What was meaningful about that choice? Nothing…

Not can pick - must pick. And don’t even get me started on people hearthing out of the raid during trash to swap both their entire Covenant as well as their soul-binds for many of the boss fights. Big yikes. It’s already annoying enough with people jetting to swap Conduits even with Conduit energy. Parse culture is now going to extend to min-maxing specific Covenants for every single encounter.

And I’ll be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of every single Covenant most likely, especially for M+ where the tank Covenant may be more of a flex spot with smaller performance loss compared to DPS min-maxxing Covenant.

yea ngl, this is going to be an issue.

drives me absolutely nuts

yea I fully expect that I’ll be the one primarily swapping around for my m+ groups. I’m ok with that though :woman_shrugging:

Is…. Is this an out-of-season April Fools’ Joke?

I hope not.

Because I love it.

That’s what it suppose to prevent- the min/max mentality for every little point.

Guess Blizzard decided that wasn’t important anymore.

This is why I maintain the Blizzard team lacks vision and focus.
