The Ridiculous State of BG/Honor Farming (Math)

so what your saying is, its a personal problem and your unwilling to adapt. You may have had a nice realm originally but pvp queues dont work that way anymore. Players need to adapt to the game instead of thinking your entitled enough for the game to adapt you you. Your not special.

he chose the over populated faction and expected something unrealistic. Yes its his fault.

No.

I expect Blizzard to flip the switch they have already demonstrated that they have, to give everyone the same queues.

Everyone. Not me specifically.

Everyone.

How was I supposed to know?
I didnt play vanilla. Nobody gave me amy indications.
It shouldn’t be my fault that I cant play one half of the game because of this.

so ruin the game with same faction BG’s, so you can feel better? You should have made a better decision in the first place and rolled alliance.

How is it ruining the game when qs are up to 6 hours right now for horde. Sounds like in the current state it is ruined.

Sounds balanced to me.

The Horde get longer queues yes, but also get the best pvpers, the best racials, more people to play with, etc.

The Alliance compensated with shorter queue timers for not having any of the above.

its not fixing the root issue, its further pushing the only playable option as horde. As a horde player id like to see more alliance on servers, not more horde.

Ruin what game?

Alliance continue to have their queues.
Alliance continue to have their guilds.
Alliance get ganked less in the world (FACTUAL btw) because Horde get to be in BGs.
Alliance continue to get their Premades.

What is ruined exactly?

More people roll horde for pvp, Alliance withers away more than it already has. More servers become horde dominated. Open world becomes empty.

I want alliance to be ganked, because ill be the one ganking them. hence why i want them to prop alliance up instead of burry them with same faction BG queues.

Ruins his gatekeeping and allows for more alliance to stay ahead of horde in terms of gear.

They get faster games and more of them so this results in a snowballing of more and better gear then horde. Why would he want horde to catch up?

The only horde with gear are those who had full Mark’s and 75k honor gathered pre-tbc. Everyone else has nothing. Alliance want to keep it that way.

Discussion about horde/alliance queue and the recent change derailing this topic which is not about that.

Consider for a moment that even if horde and alliance both have instant queues, the honor grind for gear is absolutely absurd, accurate or otherwise.

Ask all the Servers that have turned into wastelands why that happened.

Guess which it is more.

A: “Horde had good queues.”
B: “Horde ganked us into oblivion.”

“I want to prop up alliance so I can gank them.”

I disagree. I have been able to farm 700 an hour as horde on the weekend with 30min+ q times. This is horrible, yes.

The only BG that would open is WSG so I cant get any other Mark’s. If more games would open this would mean more Mark’s of different kinds. This means we could use the repeated quest to turn Mark’s into honor.

This will likely double the rate of honor gained. Right now horde cant even do this.

I think with more games and access to the repeated quest it wont be so bad. This is just my personal opinion though so i could be very wrong.

I que AV and gank in SMV… horde life

horde queues right now are about 20 minutes. that’s not a big deal

The post isn’t really about Q times themselves. It’s about the all around honor grind. Sure, the Q times suck for horde (which is a clear example of how the world around the game has changed and directly effected modern pvp, and that’s only one) but - I’m not totally against the Q times. They are secondary to me.
It’s about how much honor you’re gaining vs how much time you’re spending, even in Winning bgs. I’m not sure what all has happened, but this doesn’t replicate my experience as a heavy live tbc pvp player at all. I didn’t have to run around 50 battlegrounds to get the lowest cost piece of gear (10k honor, spent 8k on trinket) back then. RN you have Win around 65+ bgs to get a single piece of gear. That’s why the Q time comes up so much…because if you have to win 65 matches, that’s 65 Q’s…without counting all the losses and their Qs too.* Especially in AVs often 1 hour+ Q time, because it makes it near impossible to turn in AV marks for honor for the horde and lower* the grind time.
Posters above are correct when they say this will cause alot of the pvp community to quit. Many of the people that came back to classic/tbc classic are of that same pvp community. Two of my friends that played with me in TBC live have already quit playing because they came back to pvp, reached 70, and launched into WSG 55 minute Qs, only to lose a match and get 65 honor for 75 minutes of playtime.

No. I have been sitting in 30-1 hour for WSG
2-3 hours for AB
5-6+ hours for EOTS
Literally havent seen a single AV while being in Q for 8+ hours some days.

I have posted screenshots on reddit and would do the same here if it were possible. You have no clue how bad it truely is.

It’s impossible to get any Mark’s for the repeatable quest and it’s near impossible to get any mark for items besides wsg while getting hardly any honor per hour.

Current q times directly effects the honor gained per hour because

  1. You wait for so long to get into a game.
  2. You cant even get into some BGs to get their Mark’s which means you cant do the repeated quest for extra honor.

I’m sure we could hit close to 2k honor per hour as horde if this was possible for us.
