He’ll just be coming on as an advisor.

I wonder though… if – and it’s obviously a pretty big if – but if he were to be offered Danuser’s job as head of narrative at some point, would he take it?

This new buzz phrase is already getting tiresome and old.

No not Garry. While good, none have worn this mantle.

I mean, it’s an accurate illustration of the problem. If you can think of a better one to illustrate the problem then so be it. Until then, it’s perfect.

It’s not. Death and destruction with mass murder, trying to save beings, trying to destroy rot, trying to help tribes survive, etc is nowhere near childish.

Eh, It’s the same kind of reasoning that they used in Diablo 3 when people were complaining about the cartoonishness of it.

bUt tHeRe’S dEcApOtAtEd HeAdS

It just shows a misunderstanding of the problem. That doesn’t mean that the villains don’t spew cartoonish cliches and the rest of the game just has the tone of cartoonishness.

Like no one says Elden Ring is cartoonish. There is a reason for this. If you don’t understand the difference then you are unable to process what people are talking about. That’s all.

It’s not a lot more childish than it was when I started playing Warcraft at 17…

I’m sorry, are you claiming the art style or the story?

There is no problem.

… are you new here? :face_with_raised_eyebrow: That’s been a thing since Vanilla.

This isn’t Shakespeare.

Is an entirely different type of game and art style.

The fact that you’re trying to compare two entirely different types of games and styles?

Right.

I mean it seems pretty obvious especially in the dialog that they’re going for a younger more childlike audience. Outside of the one Dwarf I haven’t found many pg13+ themes. We’ve come a far way from the Legend of Stalvan

It isn’t.

Is just as cheesy as it was 18 years ago.

Then you haven’t been paying attention.

Did y’all complain this much in previous expansions? Especially Mists? Cata? Even Wrath and BC had cheesy dialogue and themes in places. BfA? No? Even Legion had this type of stuff.

No I loved vanilla. And again, you don’t understand the problem. It’s not silly juvenile slapstick humor that vanilla used. It’s actual cartoon-like voiceovers doing cartoon motifs. I cannot explain to you if you don’t grasp what the issue is. It’s not possible. A lot of people understand the problem and then there’s a lot of people who cannot process it. There’s no point in the discussion.

You can literally add the phrase “and I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling kids!” and it would fit perfectly with everything. And I know this does not help enlighten you.

Please go play through this game again.

There is none.

Oh, so now we’re just making stuff up. Got it.

Just going to quote this and then leave you people to your hypocrisy and nonsense:

Find another game.

I find it interesting that you are frustrated by having to see people complain about this over and over again, yet at the same time trying to minimize that there’s no people complaining.

It’s hilarious.

Completely disingenuous person, of course.

I’m not complaining just acknowledging a vast difference in story telling. No mankirks wife or legend of Stalvan style stuff exists anymore. It’s all cutesy and cartoonish which is perfectly okay.

Never played it.

Those expansions went for a lot more pop culture references IE thrallmar innkeeper named Floyd pinkus or the 3 turtles and the rat in Dalaran sewers representing TMNT.

It’s a super obvious and vastly different style of direction and it’s completely okay to acknowledge this and still enjoy the game. Despite feeling designed for young children; Dragonflight is one of my favorite expansions

And there’s the gaslighting. No one’s frustrated. Rolling my eyes at you people who latch onto these things with no knowledge of the game isn’t in any way frustration. But keep making stuff up. :+1:

There is none.

Then I’d suggest going back nad playing this game before trying to claim stuff you know nothing about.

It isn’t.

It absolutely isn’t.

Y’all have a really twisted view of what children do.

But since logic and understanding of this entire game’s history isn’t known here, I’m not going to engage further.
