The Redpill You Don't Want to Ingest: Torghast Was More Fun than Delves

And the only reason you “like” Delves more is because they have an actual dedicated reward system tied to them that’s far more helpful to you than having to grind your weekly spooky soul ash currency like you did 4 years ago. The actual content of the delves has nothing on Torghast.

That’s it. That’s the post. Have a nice day.

Thats only due to the crazy abilities. Especially monk ones that had to feeling like a dbz character lol

It was fun but really delves aren’t as bad. They could use something more but idk what.

It was, but at least delves have more visual variety.

No matter which wing of Torghast, you were still looking at reject Icecrown Citadel architecture.

End of SL Torghast sure. Not on release Torghast though.

Delves are much shorter still. Torghast was fun in the sense that with the right combo of anima you could be unstoppable

Pick the wrong one…it was going to end poorly

Cough cough tree boss

And all tetrapods are just highly derived fish. It’s something we call evolution.

I thought torghast was pretty cool but I just casually dipped my toe in back during that expansion. Delves were aight also. If i had to choose between the two I would go torghast overall but I didn’t do them every week and I think that might have led to a lot of pushback. Hence the name choreghast lol

I would not have done torghast if it wasnt tied to legendaries…

Choreghast was terrible.

Delves > choreghast any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Hard disagree.

Torghast was too long. Each layer was too long and then you had to do multiple layers per level and if for some reason you had to stop you had to start at the start of the level again. And there were so many levels.

If you ended up with crap powers it was a horrible slog, it only became bearable if you got a good string of powers and just obliterated it.

And the esthetics were all horrendous. I never want to ever see that Maw style dungeon crap again so long as I live.

So? You think as many people would raid or do M+ if there was no material reward?

But also no. Delves are far more fun than torghast. They have far more variety, and just generally have more fun mechanics.

Torghast in it’s current form wasn’t very great, but to be fair delves aren’t better

But in terms of potential torghast was infinitely better and it’s not even close

Torghast was fun right up to a point but without drops it got old fast.

Delves are better then Torghast for the simple reason I can ignore them it sucked having to do Torghast.

For content that gives player power, I don’t like my rewards tied to not playing my class right

Y’know…

I do agree, I think. What I disliked about Torghast was it being part of the mandatory currency grind. But do I go back now and chain run it for cosmetics? Yep. Things could get goofy.

Delves are the same “dungeon” with different things happening in them each time. Sort of. It does get stale.

The redpill you don’t want to ingest: neither are all that great.

I hated Thorghost, I love Delves.

Fun is subjective.

It was different. The fun part depends on the person. I actually enjoyed both, but delves is a step up due to actual loot and not being a required game play mode like Torghast was.

For me, a simple reason why Delves are worse:

Brann Bronzebeard.

Love him or hate him, you have to play around him.

And anything banking on AI in this game blows.

I liked these solo affairs better when I was actually solo.

I do have to admit that pulling an entire floor as a Mistweaver monk and spamming vivify on myself to melt everything in seconds is a kind of ridiculous fun I don’t think I’ve experienced anywhere else in WoW.
