The recent exploiting

I mean if you make basic mistakes with the language you’re using to call me an idiot, it better be bait. But I’m glad you’re so upset that I don’t support your favorite surrogate friend.

Why should it be a deeper investigation? If they are sharing information how to cheat while actively exploiting and even broadcasted evidence against them. Maybe check a few previous streams and if they’re doing it there too they’re definitely guilty. Case closed. Ban hammer should fall on their account.

It’s because boy howdy some people really hate streamers, and I’m sure a number of false/misunderstood reports have been filed

Esfran has been brought up a number of times with people saying he’s exploiting (even after the blue post saying that his issue was a seperate one and he checked with GMs before continuing), think I seen a few threads on that today

I’m sure if there are actual signs of wrongdoing punishments will be rolled out, just sometimes the hammer goes slower than people would like

Which is why I said those that are actively using the exploit. Streamers that are not only streaming repeated abuse of it, but also telling others hwo to do it are obviously guilty. Hence the reason I worded my statement the way I did. Repeatedly and actively abusing it and have streamed evidence as proof of them doing it more than once.

A guy that sees it happen once and immediately contacts a GM to report it would A-OK in my books.

The others that are known abusers and have had it streamed for several hours and multiple sessions? They should get hit fast and hard before they spread their ill gotten gains to followers to try to get it handed back after a ban.

They really should respond quicker. A blue post the day of with “we are looking into these reports” would have saved a lot of drama.

And, now where is that stickied post, hmm, don’st see it.

I’m not blaming Blizzard or fear mongering or anything like that. But if they came straight out and said what the plan is for people that have been confirmed to have abused this exploit (across the board mind you and only those that deserve it not ones people claim did with no proof) then they would help get back some of the trust it SEEMS people have lost in them. We don’t need to know names or accounts or guilds of anyone involved. That’s between them. Just… anything. A bland “Ya we are aware and will handle it/punish people” really says next to nothing. Because a 3 day suspension could be considered punishment but not be anywhere near justifiable. It would also give people a place to look and say “Yup, they did X and anyone/everyone that did it got Y.” Rather than this guy gets this, another gets something else, a 3rd get’s something else entirely.

Agreed 100%.

Blizzard has banned streamers in the past.

The last time was the bfa xp exploit where they got banned for 3 months
