The real reason it’s bad is because it’s focused on nothing but end game to the point where everything non end game except cosmetic filler and collecting has been removed.
I do want this game to not die but I’m also aware that blizz is lazy
Yet rarely if any of those threads suggest ways to correct the faults that made them leave.
That is because enough people did not speak up all at once.
WoW used to do the “buy all expansions” thing, it was changed yes, but they still had that business model at one point. Also its well known FFXIV has higher sub count then WoW, as in retail WoW, not classic WoW included.
Reasons why people hate WoW now:
Ion and dev team ignore the player base feedback for the most part and think they know whats best for the game despite hurting it further every expansion after Legion. They also don’t learn when we tell them NO we don’t like this! Example…mission tables. They still force them on us.
Lore story and time gating it is a horrible decision. They create very short quest lines to feel long cause you have to unlock them every week or 2, ex…BFA’s war campaign. It was very short but felt long due to time gating. Or even covenant quest lines. They don’t make long quests anymore…its all short time gated content.
Flying is still locked behind 6months-1year of gameplay. Why? “Because we want people to see the land and art in it”. No I don’t care about that detailed rock after passing it for the 100th time for a WQ. Speaking of WQs…
WQs are a nightmare now. Many hidden horrible steps and drawn out to become a full length quest or worse.
Every week is a chore now of lists to do, and on top of that infinite anima grind because everything is expensive.
Just to name a few reasons why WoW is hated right now.
What? … more glaring tha… are you serious?
It just means more people are angry about a given issue. Does it really matter if Frank notices his tire is flat, or his neighbor points it out… Frank’s tire is still flat no matter how Frank learns of it.
This game is still going in the wrong direction.
Who cares if a given player comes to that realization on his or her own or learns it in a conversation?
Heh!
Like some weird version of “don’t argue in front of the kids”.
Protip: The kids will always know, and they always did.
Bruh Blizz has well recorded history of ignoring beta testers bringing up problems. Then the problems go live.
Why don’t you research “The Bandwagon effect.”
Then we the players have to step up to save the game we love.
A real big problem right off the bat with this is that during the testing phases of these new expansions there are so many amazing players who give great feedback in droves in the testing forums and those even seem to be ignored often. Then you get instances where people quit the game and they turn around and change something real quick. Maybe Blizz is doing this to themselves because of a lack of presence or concern.
You’re not getting it. We tried that multiple times and it fell on deaf ears.
Then we just need to speak louder and on things we can all agree need changed.
Fair point.
But this game’s direction is in need of a bandwagon.
There isn’t enough noise for how much of a dud SL is.
Well the way the bandwagon is going right now is off a cliff.
Yeah I’m done with this conversation.
I think you should go outside a bit, have funs with your friends maybe.
All that thinking about what ‘others are thinking’ isn’t good for you.
That’s what players are doing. It’s just that as players keep offering suggestions over and over and feel like their suggestions are falling on deaf ears that they get more frustrated. That increase in frustration can lead to an overall feeling of “Why do I even bother? It’s not like the devs are listening.” Lots of players have reached that point over the years.
That made me lol, but then I realized…
… so has the spirit of the game…
Hrm. Have we arrived at another old standard: Garbage in Garbage out?
At this point I think you are just a Sunday troll; However, if people are so weak-minded that they quit a game they enjoy because some strangers tell them to? That’s pathetic. Who even does that?
Most WoW players aren’t kids who worry about doing what the cool kids do. If they were worried about what cool kids do they wouldn’t be playing WoW anyway. They’d be playing cool tabletop games and drinking interesting beer and feeding their rescue dog bits of venison jerky and artisan cheese and homemade sourdough bread.
People can see the neglect its getting in Blizzs hands.
Sorta like how Star Wars is being ripped apart from the inside out by political ideals.
Warcraft in comparison will endure a much slower, decaying death.
One stranger no, A bunch of fellow WoW players …you underestimate the power of peer pressure.
Of course I can. There’s a big difference between feeling it’s no use and wanting it to be no use.
