The reason Blizzard is doing nothing about unbalanced

servers is because there are no unbalanced servers.

Also, what’s the point of using population numbers from unofficial sources anyway?

Blizzard is letting servers balance naturally. Eventually, the populations of all servers will reach 0.

Life finds a way.

Well, there you have it folks, random Horde kid says all servers are perfectly balanced. To think, all this time, it was Alliance players committing suicide 17 times on their way to BRD.

As a reward for solving this issue, I’d like to reward you with a little something…a piece of sage advice. Don’t shake your head too fast, those around you can hear the water swirling around. You’re welcome. <3

Next thing you know you are going to tell us that Azeroth is flat!

So a billionaire company sees random Alliance kids complaining about unbalanced servers and chooses to do nothing because?

Do you have an official number of players or you are just using the numbers from the likes of ironforge and wowhead?

Lol, I myself could make a site, pull numbers from my lower parts and claim the servers are unbalanced

Blizzard is offering FREE xfers to only one faction on selected servers. Why? Cause these servers have both queues AND horrible faction imbalances. For example… On herod I can’t xfer anywhere… but they Horde can take a free xfer until Sunday.

Similar realms are obviously HORRIBLY faction imbalanced. Blizzard doesn’t give away free stuff for nothing.

Actually a lot of the free transfers were faction specific. So not only did Blizzard try and do something, it also pokes a pretty big hole in your “no unbalanced servers” theory.

While I don’t doubt there is an imbalance on most servers, there is a difference between actual population imbalances and perceived imbalances. A few thousand Horde aren’t camping BRM on PvP servers. It is a couple hundred at most. Sure, that seems overwhelming when you’re solo or in a 5-man trying to get to BRD, but from the standpoint of the entire population, that is a drop in the bucket.

People quite ofeten post screen shots of both realms factiond during peek realm times. It is clear alli is outnumbered on most servers. I like the server I am on but you can’t deny the horde ratio to alli is stupid unbalanced. An alli 5 man group will kill hord for like 1 minute then a raid of 40 will show up on my server and end all the balanced open world pvp. 5 man kill squads just dont really exist when the pops are this imbalanced. Just my opinion. Again, I like the server im on even though horde control every zone on the map.

Come play horde on Heartseeker and then reread your post.

Blizzards long term solution to population imbalance in retail was to just slowly make population balance not matter.

If they aren’t broken don’t fix em

So apparently they aren’t broken

What a silly comment. On a perfectly-balanced PVP server, I would expect Alliance players to be attacked EVERY SINGLE TIME those players try to go to BRD.

Why not? It doesn’t take 15,000 Horde players to gank you. You see 20 or 30 Horde around BRD, not 15,000.

How do you get from “there are 30 Horde near BRD” to “there must be 8,000 more Horde on this server”? Imagination! You made it up in your head! It’s pure fantasy!

Blizzard has tried various things to fix faction imbalances on PvP servers in the past. Never worked. Not for long.

The only thing that did work was connected realms and people complained. To anyone who doubts this, the forum messages still exist.

Here is the problem. Assume I’m playing on a PvP realm in the majority faction but don’t engage in wpvp very often, like once a month. Am I counted in the playerbase when Blizz devs is trying to figure out how imbalanced a PvP server is?

This is pretty much why the raw numbers being thrown out by the addons, even if accurate, may not mean much in determining imbalance for wpvp purposes.

Wrong.

  1. There is no solution that wouldn’t make the problem worst in some form or another. People would still complain that they aren’t doing enough.
  2. They have barely anyone working on the game and they mostly just want to forget about it. They don’t want to invest a team in solving problems of this magnitude.
